Day 13. Still stuck. Managed to get a sim card for my phone so I could reactivate it. Now, to try my one, last lifeline that I was hoping to avoid. Time to call... My dad. . and hope he can help! Good news is I found a Uhaul place nearby and I could rent a truck and dolly and tow my car home for 525 for the rental plus gas. Hopefully he can help me get that. Ugh please God get me and my poor car out of here!

This is hard to believe. I thought it was going to last but compatability just went away.

Maybe if I get under this thing one more time and maybe if I can find a slightly thicker bearing to make up the difference I could at least drive this thing the ~500 miles back home until I can get a new engine. Been rolling the dice and losing a lot lately, but something has to give. 8 days in a Flying J truck stop is no bueno. Luckily the GM is a nice guy and understanding and is cool with my presence. I at least feel safe, here.

Agreed. Seems I've been hitting roadblock after roadblock trying to fix my car with hardly any tools, low on cash and low on blood sugar, ya know, all that, and the rainstorm to top it off 🙄

This is hard. Why so hard?

Lol I'm stuck in Albuquerque because my car broke down. Been stuck at a flying J truck stop off I40 since Thursday night. Been waiting on parts from the parts store down the street. My #3 cylinder's connecting rod bearing went out coming up one of these steep mountain passes. Fun times! I'm working on it. Hope to be out of here by tonight, putting in a prayer request - dance a jig, wish me luck, send me some karma, whatever ya got 🤠👍 that I get this fixed, make it to Bullhead City to pick up the wife, and make it safely back home to CO! Hope everyone else is doing well! I'm hanging in there!
