can you hear that thumping moving around?

can you hear that ticking that makes me sick?

can you hear that noise im sure it will click

I gave it to the world

I gave it to you all

I threw it in the air

I left it to fall

I ripped it from my chest

I tore it off my sleeve

I tossed it away

and yet it wont leave

it begs me

and tells me

and ask me to stay

so I put it through hell another day

and now I ask of you all my friends

I give you a scalpel
