LuluVox Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 heh follow me by uncle craker (i dont like it i just know) most songs by placebo <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Haha, I was juust thinking that. Too many to count. I thought that Uncle Kracker song was about an affair.
Fierce Critter Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I was also going to mention Neil Young's "Needle and the Damage Done", but in the context of Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders' version. Knowing the history of the band and how she lost both the original guitarist and the bassist (who was also her lover) to drugs makes it that much more heartbreaking. Also worth mentioning was her involvement with Sid Vicious, yet another person in her life destroyed by drugs.

pomba gira Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Most of Alice in Chains Alboum "Dirt" was all about heroin use. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yup... had a couple of those songs on the '90s version of my fix tape. Didn't mention them 'cos someone else already had. First time I heard "Dirt", I remember thinking "christ on a crutch, this poor bastard won't be around long". Being addicted is one thing, being obssessive about the shit is another thing altogether A couple essentials I forgot: Johnny Thunders "Too Much Junkie Business" and Nina Hagen "Smack Jack"

Blackmail Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 This has been open to interpretation but many feel that "Never Let Me down Again" by Depeche Mode is about drugs. The drug use didn't work out too well for them though, did it? :laughing
