Anyone remember this TV Series?

:devil It came out in the early 80's,I wish they would bring back the reruns.

It had an adult with a younger kid,they had a huge pocket watch that would take them back in time.It ran for a little while,but I have'nt seen it in years.

The adult star, Jon Erik Hexum killed himself by accident when he pointed a prop pistol at his head and pulled the trigger. The wadding in the blank fractured his skull. His co-star was Meeno Peluce.

These "voyagers" each have a hand-held device called an "Omni" which gives them their location, the date and a signal if history is "wrong." They all go back and forward through time to correct any "mistakes" that may have occurred in time and keep the world on track.

After reading this I can see where NBC came up with Quantum leap. They just narrowed it down to two guys fixing history.
