BillyDeath Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Do you know these type of polo shirt's that have a small crocadile patch sowed at the left corner of the shirt. I hated those shirt's. All because when I was nine turning ten my folks used to make me wear those fucking shirts. The Gisgra's and the Betzler's would always conspire me to wear them. They would always say "be strong like crocadile on the corner of your shirt". The betzler's and gisgra's are a bunch of close-minded yuppies that my parents used to hang around with. They were a bad influence on my parents, except for Mr. Betzler who was just stuck with the yuppie cult. They had a stock in the Izod buisness.

pomba gira Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 sweetie you sure do hate a lot of stuff! =( but I must admit "be strong like crocodile on the shirt" is priceless... what, hide on riverbanks & eat people who come to get water? I always thought it was an alligator, not a crocodile... but I'm not a LaCoste expert so what do I know. But "be strong like an alligator" would be even better- wander into backyards & eat people's poodles...
Brenda Starrr Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 I see nothing wrong with Izod. So what if it's not your style? We don't all have the same tastes. Get past it, move on, and wear what you want to wear. Quit being such a hater, too. It's so unattractive.
Homicidalheathen Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 My man used to wear those with dorky dockers when I met him....boy how he has changed.....and.......he likes it! No more preppy alligator shirts with little collars. I think his fav tshirt is now the 'Zappa Crapper' collector T. He got allot of compliments at the concert, some guy even offered him 50 bucks for it!
pomba gira Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 For the last time... WHAT'S WRONG WITH PREPPY? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The look, nothing... people should feel free to sport whatever the hell style they choose. The mindset, lots.
BillyDeath Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 The look, nothing... people should feel free to sport whatever the hell style they choose. The mindset, lots. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A...FUCKING...MEN!!!!

Get past it, move on, and wear what you want to wear. Quit being such a hater, too. It's so unattractive. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can't believe that you are saying this-- "I see nothing wrong with Izod". But the third sentence were you said "wear what you want to wear", well that was just the problem. Look back to the topic stater my dear and read the second and third sentence of the first paragragh.

It's not up to you to decide what everyone else should wear. Quit being so closed-minded. How ungoth.

Quit being so closed-minded. How ungoth. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What??!!!!! Me ungoth??!! Read the second and third paragraph to find out my justification on why I hate Izod's.
Brenda Starrr Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 What??!!!!! Me ungoth??!! Read the second and third paragraph to find out my justification on why I hate Izod's. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's YOUR justification, Billy. It's not everyone's. You can't speak for everyone. I don't wear Izod, but it's just my choice. I don't hate them. They're clothes! Lighten up!
BillyDeath Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 That's YOUR justification, Billy. It's not everyone's. You can't speak for everyone. I don't wear Izod, but it's just my choice. I don't hate them. They're clothes! Lighten up! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> they were trying to stop me from goth.
Brenda Starrr Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 they were trying to stop me from goth. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think that being goth is more of a frame of mind than a style of clothing. At least it is for me. I can't always dress goth, due to work. That doesn't mean that I can't or don't love the culture! As a matter of fact, when I come to town, I most likely won't be dressed in goth attire. When I come to CC, I might just be wearing what I wore to perform the wedding. I'm fully accepted for who I am. The clothes do NOT make the man.
BillyDeath Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 they were trying to stop me from goth. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> read the second and third sentence. The Gisgra's and the BetZler's are ungoth. Because of the I have been preppified.
Brenda Starrr Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 read the second and third sentence. The Gisgra's and the BetZler's are ungoth. Because of the I have been preppified. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Again....... The clothes do not make the man.
BillyDeath Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 Again....... The clothes do not make the man. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> they tried to change my mentality too.
Brenda Starrr Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 they tried to change my mentality too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I apologize to everyone for the threadjacking........ However, no one can "make" you be someone you're not. They can try. You have the option of either allowing it or not allowing it. No one tells me who to be. No one tells me how to dress. I dress to suit me, just as I'm who I am because it suits me.
phee Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 what is threadjacking???? From the Urban Dictionary 1. Threadjack To take over the content of a message thread by changing the subject of discourse to a topic outside the purview of the original subject and/orforum, while maintaining the subject line. A form of amusement for trolls. Threadjacking is distinguished from flaming, as flames are a quasi-personal attack on a poster or on a poster's style of discourse, where threadjacking is deliberatly steering the discussion offtopic. (I do this A LOT, but just because I am feeling inadequate and want to make people laugh)

pomba gira Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 read the second and third sentence. The Gisgra's and the BetZler's are ungoth. Because of the I have been preppified. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> since the thread has been jacked beyond all possibility of retrieval... :fear This was how long ago? People only have as much power over you as you allow them. Hating an entire style of dress because someone made you wear it in your childhood, is giving the whole experience way too much power over your present state of being. Childhood is not easy or idyllic for anyone... but come a time, we all gotta work past all that & move on.
Brenda Starrr Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 You know what? I don't consider this a threadjacked thread per se. The reality is that Billy brought the subject up, and we discussed it. Technically, we're not off-topic. The topic is the mode of dress and designer label that Billy dislikes. We took it further by discussing why. Nope. I don't feel bad about this one at all. Billy, don't let a brand name get to you. Don't let a style get to you. That means that they won.
