City Club

I have never been to City club people. would anyone be willing to like take me there sometime? I really want to experience it! dont really like driving in detroit by myself especially at night but if i was with someone that knew the area and would be willing to drive or ride with me and show me the ropes. that would awesome and much appreciated.

I would drive. I just dont want to go down there by myself. I live in Harrison Twp on 16 mile (metro parkway) and Jefferson. I would be willing to drive, just dont want to go by myself.

It's an ok place. I have been to much better places (obviously not in Michigan). I think it would be much better if it wasn't for the fact that the owner has let it goto hell. So if you don't mind cockroaches that are so damned big you can ride them, the lack of aircondtioning in the summer and that it is freezing in the winter or that it really is a dive it's alright. The music is good, always has been so I do give credit where due. Perhaps the glitz and glamor of the place went out for me about 10 years ago, sorry kids.

I agree with Joey Deadcat and Anathema. There are other cleaner clubs that play better music and actually give a shit about their customers. A few of them are even in Michigan.

I'm going to the I-Rock this saturday after work. I wont be going to City Club. I will know my schedule for next week this friday so I will let you know about next saturday okay?? Yur first time to City Club shouldnt be on a friday. Its usually slow that day.

Actually they've been playing some pretty decent music lately. And friday's have been really dead. I took my bro there for the first time a couple weeks ago on a friday and he was like, "Is this it?"

There is a hell of a lot more people there on saturdays.

I know... It's like a drug... You try, and try, and try, but you can never seem to kick it. As far as I know, Scary Guy is the only one of us who is in full remission. Any other success stories?

In any case, I'll probably be going up there on the third weekend of August if you'd like to tag along. I have to do final recruiting/attendance confirmations for the camping trip. (I may be seen there before then, too)
