Melova Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Online friendships can be so deceiving. The glory of online-ness is that you can project your better parts, and hide the rest. Perfect, until said projection ropes in unsuspecting folks. Dammit to hell..my muse, whom strings me along, and whom I follow with starry eyes, unleashes the hell that he is upon my gushing, girlishly crushing self. I kept up, replying to biting comment after biting comment with my own biting retorts. Each one shredded me just a little more...and somehow I maintained my dignity. The sad part is..it all hurt. It burned, even. How fucked up is that? /rant
Homicidalheathen Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 "my night in shinning armore turned out to be a looser in tin foil' said the princess to the swan. Yah, you have to go hang out with people and talk to their friends and possibly family to find out who they are inside.......eh? Online relationships can be so decieving. I heard the term 'cougar hunting' recently.....men go online to find women who are more mature and stable to take care of them. So be careful!!! You know what? If I can't go to your home and use your bathroom. Huston we have a problem. Why? Because If you check out the med cabinet......you find all sorts of things like why they act so strange I.e: antipsychotic medications and whatnot. I have friends myself lying 10 yrs off their age.....adding 40 grand or more to the income....ect....ect..... Seriously if your going to get involved people will find this out about you in a short time if they are not totally stupid. So why lie???? Unless your a scam artist. I am ranting too cause I just got used and had. Group hug!!
Melova Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 My muse.. the single most romantic thing a poet can call someone.. was so inordinately vicious and scathing that I very nearly cried. I'll delude myself a little longer, I think... Or, I'll get a life and drop the dream. Either or, at least I'm not stunned anymore.
JaneDead Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 "my night in shinning armore turned out to be a looser in tin foil' said the princess to the swan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i never heard that one before that is great
BrassFusion Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 A lot of the most passionate people are the most immature, crazy, and misanthropic. Like me... I'm bright and creative and spontaneous, but I can really truly go off on people every once in a while, with no regard to their feelings. Very rare for me... but that element of my personality lets me try to understand where others are coming from when they do the same. The people that righteously piss me off the most are those that get insecure and defensive about any little thing and respond with a personal attack. Sample conversation: Guy: I'm playing this awesome video game with dragons in it. Me: Dragons r teh gai. Guy: Well you're just a dried up crusty old bitch, why do you have to be so hateful to everyone for their personal opinions Me: Fuck you. Guy: OMG NEVER TALKING TO YOU AGAIN
Scary Guy Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 "you can't have a genius without a touch of madness"
BrassFusion Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Madness doesn't necessarily entail immature sadism and drama.
Melova Posted July 28, 2006 Author Posted July 28, 2006 Update.. while still feeling the burn of the man's words, I talked to him on the phone today. Sure, I admitted that he trashed some rather deeply ingrained scars to the point of bleeding. I was honest. Gods, that hurt more than the words that tore into me. And for the blood of admission of pain and suffering, I was rewarded. It seems my dearest muse got defensive because .. shock of all shocks .. he just couldn't believe me to be true. So he lashed out to drive me away..and I didn't go away, held on viciously like a bad, bad roller coaster ride... Hell of a table turn, I think. Now what. Gods.. this should be easier. But, I wouldn't even be worried if it was any easier..and somehow, even despite the wild yo-yoing, I'm still managing to keep my dignity. Are we all doomed to hurt the ones we want, to pain the ones we want to love? /emo
BrassFusion Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Whenever men pretend to have feelings or motives other than anything to do with getting laid or getting fed, take it with a shaker of salt.
