this is the info i found about it:

NOTE: you do not need your voter registration card to vote.

It doesn't hurt to have it, but you can vote without it. Click here to find out how to get a replacement.

What You Need to Bring with You on Election Day:

RETURNING VOTERS:

If you have voted in Michigan before, you can check your name in the Publius website. If you polling location appears to be in order, you really only need to bring yourself to the polls.

To be safe, if you have a Michigan Driver's License, you can bring that too.

NEW VOTERS

New Voters must meet the new federal ID requirement. As a first time Michigan voter you must provide identification before voting if you:

1.) registered by mail and

2.) have never previously voted in Michigan and

3.) have not already satisfied the identification requirement.

Acceptable ID includes a current and valid photo ID or a paycheck stub, utility bill, bank statement or government document that lists your name and address.

The requirement does not apply to voters who are disabled or overseas.

SPECIAL NOTE: In order for new voters to vote absentee, you must show ID to a designated election official (generally your clerk or someone at the Secretary of State's office). If you didn't register in-person, you can apply for an absentee ballot at your clerk's office and show ID when you apply.

soooo i am assuming i can just go to my old location and do it??

Might be bad news for you.

Jon and I had to change our address to ensure being able to vote in our proper polling district. We got that in under the wire.

Good luck.

Well, you kinda have a choice. Drive over and vote there with hope they Dont ask for your ID. Even if they do, you may still be allowed to vote. At worst, I belevie, you may have to vote Absantee.

yes, that is me ;)

You are so cute! You should start a member photo thread!

it's probably too late for you but just a general FYI - you can go to the polls and if you're not on the rolls you can ask for a provisional ballot. you cast your votes and then they will double check your eligibility, and if it all checks out your vote will be counted.

if you are not already registered though, most states do have deadlines for registering, but if it's just a name/address change then provisional ballot should work.

I know it is too late, but I do hope you tried. I share your boat. I was registered to vote at my old address. i went to THAT polling location and voted with no problem, even though my address had changed.
