Keep the original names

:devil I still cannot call Pine Knob DTE,never got used to a corporate name.

I remember almost 20 years ago when you could bring in your own alcohol.Damn those were the days.

I hope that the original name will return sometime.Its funny how some of the WRIF DJ's still accidentely call it Pine Knob on the radio,when they are talking about upcomming concerts.

Anyone also remember when Eastpoint used to be called East Detroit?

Tiger Stadium or Comerica Park,although its a new stadium.Who knows what will happen to the old stadium.

i still say "pine knob", don't think i will ever call it DTE.

i don't call it comerica park i call it "tiger stadium", even though that place never was tiger stadium. i just feel where the tigers play should be tiger's stadium not named after a damn bank.

i do however say "east pointe" instead of east detroit. but every now and then i will call it east detroit.

i give in with some things. like when arbor's became cvs and perry's became rite aid. didn't think i would call them the new names, but i did right away. but it is different to me when it is a place or a city that should not be changed imo like pine knob and tiger's stadium. it has history and meaning.

i heard they wanted to change harper woods to grosse pointe something or another. i forget what. but that is ridiculous too!

yes. DTE will always be pine knob to me just as dark mettalion will always be crank to me.

I prefer the new name, new names suggest growth... I'm looking into changing my magical name for just that reason.
