the sun

On the horizon the suns rays bloom

taking away the midnight gloom

on waters so calm it shines bright

as birds start to chip and take flight

colors of yellow orange and gold

taking away the night time cold

rising so high to begin to fall

leaving with colors for all

that made me think of the sunrise in florida, on the beach. which is weird because i was 7 then (now 30).

Though I don't normally enjoy poems that rhyme, I thought that was beautiful. It made me think of being on Venice Beach, surfing in the sun...God I miss that...
