jadnifer Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 What would you want your wedding song to be? If I was going to be getting married in the near future, I would choose FROM THIS MOMENT ON by Shania Twain. It's a duet and I would love to sing the duet with my husband....im not the worlds best singer but i do all right. What would you guys pick?
Gauge Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 just the sounds of the ocean. . .if any music maybe something on strings to compliment the environment
Fierce Critter Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 You mean to walk down the aisle/be played during the service/first dance at the reception? At the reception, a song called "Rhapsodie" by the Ohio group "Over the Rhine". The music is beautiful, and here are the lyrics: And i couldn't love you any more than i do right now Than I do right now and The Furies that i feared were Eumenides to lead me here here i linger And i couldn't love you any more than i do right now Than I do right now and the cadences we hear may grow different in coming years still i'll tell you that i couldn't love you any more than i do right now and if you should ever leave then i would love you for what you need i could still tell you that i couldn't love you any more than i do right now Personally, I'm not real fond of a song being played during the ceremony, not a pop song anyway. I prefer classical or hyms only. I sing, and my husband has a great voice, but I kinda find the bride & groom singing to each other corny, like all of a sudden we're in the middle of some broadway musical. I'd be more open to that happening at the reception. Walking down the aisle, probably some kind of classical. Pachelbel's Cannon comes to mind. Other reception songs/musts: The Cure - Just Like Heaven Peter Gabriel - In Your Eyes
jadnifer Posted August 25, 2006 Author Posted August 25, 2006 well FC you make a good point......at the reception may be a little more appropriate....I like your choices though
BrassFusion Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Saint-Saens symphony 3, "Organ." With at least a 60 piece orchestra.

sass_in_the_pants Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 What would I pick? Well, I'll tell you what we DID pick - I've Got the World on a String by Frank Sinatra. Then again, we tap danced our first dance (and got a standing ovation might I add!)

torn asunder Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 uummm... "i'm leaving you" by the scorpions, or "move on down the line" by motorhead...
Killer_Bunnie Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 lots of big band swing, because we love it and I'm pretty sure we'd throw in something by meat loaf would seem to go with everything else we've done together, then again we don't plan on marriage for a long long time, its just who we were seeing when he realised he loved me, and a main factor in the creation of our son, even if it's pretty innapropriate we do addore him

Scary Guy Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 If it ever actually happens I'm thinking the funeral march by Frédéric Chopin. We'd drive down the isle in white and black his n' hers hearses. Either that or I'm just going to leave a bunch of HIM on repeat.
Gothmama25 Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 If I ever get married I have a few songs that I would have to choose from for my wedding song. Cross my heart - George Strait Inside your heaven - Carrie Underwood I wanna love you forever - Jessica Simpson Time after time - Cyndi Lauper I'm a very romantic kind of person.

Rayne Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 If I had to pick right this instant without really thinking about it too much, I'd say "Unicorn" by Apoptygma Berzerk (with the extra vocals by Claudia Brucken) ... Or "Plasticity" by FrontLine Assembly. :grin
Paper Hearts Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Sea of Love by Iggy Pop (from the Party album). -Much better than the Righteous Brothers original version.
creatureofthenyte Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 LMAO!! I chose that one because I love to make people laugh.
Brenda Starrr Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 I know that this isn't very goth, but I sang Sara McLachlan's "Angel" to Wayne.
