jadnifer Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 I heard somewhere that when people are sad they listen to sad songs. I think that I have done this a few times. Do you think its a majority thing though? Do you do it?
Fierce Critter Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 I listen to They Might Be Giants. It's impossible to listen to them and be crabby.

Guest Game of Chance Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Silly, smart songs. I saw them in Ann Arbor in '94. Great show. Triangle man and The Guitar are my two all-time favorites. I like The Revolting Cocks for cheering up-type music.
phee Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Fast electro with clear lyrics for normal sad... Steve Roach and Tangerine Dream for DEEP SAD
torn asunder Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 the more i avoid my sadness, the longer it lingers, so i allow me to immerse myself in it, and it's usually gone in a day or two...

GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!!! Triangle Man is MY favorite!!! Whod've thought WE would EVER have ANYTHING in common?!?!?!?! Smilies and all that shit
Killer_Bunnie Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 triangle man is one of the best ones, I agree. I listen to some of everything, but I find that alot of it is depressing only because the band has been through it to, and wanted to talk about it in a way it's good to know they got it worse than I did most of the time. oh, and I listen to alot me first and the gimmie gimmies, because even if it's a sad song, they can make it sound happy.
Scary Guy Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 I listen to sad songs not only when I'm sad, but whenever I listen to anything because I'm just that goth. OK but seriously, VNV's "Further" and "in the year 2525" oh and some darker country and blues. Usually when I'm sad I turn it into anger and throw on some harsh industrial though.
