In more modern times often voice actors are assumed to also have a pleasing appearance in case it will help sell product. Disney and Nick in particular known for this. The entertainment industry is so competitive its fairly easy for them to turn people down that aren't quite 'perfect'.

Interesting in Gaz's case, for some reason i assumed that Gaz/Zim/Gir were all done by the same person.

Probably stemming from my comic-reading "writer/artist/creator" thinking.

Gaz is cool, but Ms. Bitters is cooler (same person who did Smurfette).

Zim now does Billy and Billy's dad on The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

I also had no idea that Jhonen Vasquez did the voice for the house computer. I knew he did some in that but never the computer. Rock on computer.
