Specifically, the whole 'vomit on the pussy' thing.

You mentioned vomit. Brenda mentioned pussy ...

I just put it together. :grin

Your boat. Not mine. I'm not into that, thanks.

Wow. Getting this back to GM's topic about 24 posts later...

If I could get one song, it would be the Stray Cat's "I Won't Stand In Your Way". But it hasn't been made available. Maybe I'll try to create an electronic version someday.

Other than that, songs I have performed:

Crazy - Patsy Cline

Evergreen - Barbra Streisand

Nobody Does it Better - Carly Simon

Out Here On My Own - Irene Cara

You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You - Dean Martin

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas - Judy Garland

Constant Craving - kd lang

Possession - Sarah McLachlan

Songs I'd like to perform but haven't done yet, either 'cause I just haven't gotten around to Karaoke enough, or 'cause I can't find them:

Home - Depeche Mode

Enjoy the Silence - DM

Time To Say Goodbye - Sarah Brightman & Andrea Bocelli - I'd love to do this one with Jon

More Than You Know - Judy Garland

Stormy Weather - Lena Horne

When She Loved Me - Randy Newman/Sarah McLachlan

Foolish Games - Jewel

There are many songs I'd like to do, I just don't do karaoke that often.

I keep threatening to bring in instrumental versions of my own songs to do, but haven't had the guts/opportunity yet.

Tina HAS Stormy Weather. =) I did it when i went to her show that one time, but there was a bridge I'd either forgotten about or never heard (i was used to a big band arrangement we played in high school, probably somewhat different than the recording).

So when you come to karaoke on the 29th (=D) you can sing it...

I will not be there. But thanks.

I am aware some of those are, indeed, available. I just haven't performed anywhere that had them. For instance, I know there's at least one version of "Time To Say Goodbye" out there, but the places I go cater more to the pop/country crowd than operetta. ;)

I'll probably have to buy and bring my own to the little dives I do go to.

The full version that I know of Stormy Weather has the middle part that starts, "I walk around, heavy hearted and sad..." It's definitely tricky, and I don't know that part even close to as well as the rest. Doing it live would be a challenge someday I'd welcome.

Thank you, Steven. I'm afraid it's not in the cards.

Perhaps someday I might invite DGN'ers to invade one of the local dives. We can all do songs like "Stand By Your Man" and "Just a Gigolo" at the Speed Boat on the river. That, for surely, I would love to see.

I don't "Do" Carrie O key

I have just one song for you people, that I would like to, and yet to, sing over karaoke.

"It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" - REM

And I can do it, too. I just can't do it on-key.

Not that there's much of a "key". :) The verses are practically spoken word, if rushed.

LEONARD BERN-STEIN!!!!

I did "Youth Gone Wild" by Skid Row and "This Charming Man" by the Smiths last night, at my first-ever karaoke outing. They're both my favorites now, I think. Next time I'm doing "Hong Kong Garden" by Siouxsie for sure.
