I feel like I am drunk right now.

I have done this before,almost 90 hours,

anyone ever been through this before?

Yes. Eventually I started hallucinating. I've been told since by a nurse friend that I was actually dreaming with my eyes open.

Better go to sleep before you drop!

I was in a sleep dep study when I was younger. I made it 6 days and 9 hours... it took almost 6 months to stop seeing things thaqt were not there. Prolonged sleep dep fucks with the mind and can cause permanent damage. We require deep REM sleep.

Go To Sleep.

I go through that about once or twice a month. More regularly, I sleep about 2 hours/night...a 'good' sleep for me lasts about 4.5 hours, and I get a 'good' sleep maybe 2 or 3 times/week. Once in a great while, I can sleep for about 7 hours...which is beautifull.

And I feel...sore. Really sore. Not high.

You have a high metabalism. You most likely always have. Your mind of course has adapted. I would bet you have short intense REM periods. Your sore because your body never gets to relax. You always have more energy. You sleep enough to recharge... but you never really relax. Muscle tension. It pulls you apart.

Also, I'm solar powered and live in a helicopter made from 100% pure albacore.

Yes, I think you've got it.

You have the body type and sleep patterns of someone with a high metabalism. It's a common enough combination to be one of the three arch types.

That's probably true. Although from the people here that have met me...they'd probably all tell you that I am one of the most introverted and standoffish people they've met.

I never said you were outward. Just high energy. It explains the soreness. Muscle tension is a problem people with high metabalism have to deal with.

Well, I think it's been pretty easily observed that when I get less sleep, I feel more soreness and when I have more sleep I feel less...but I don't think that it's necessarily a product of high metabalism...although that is one explanation and it could be right. I'm closer to over weight, although, than I am to under weight, but, I'm within the normal boundries for my height. And actually, in that photo in my profile, I'm within a pound or two of ideal weight for my height which is slightly above average, as well. This feels like a really bad personal ad, so I'm going to stop.

For me this is a normal routine. I suffer from chronic insomnia and have since I was in grade school. If I can get 10 hours of sleep in a week its been a good sleeping week. On average I am awake for a couple of days before I get any rest. When i do manage to sleep its in general about 2-3 hours.

Tomorrows surgery will probably be the longest I have slept in quite a while. Of course this will be a drug induced sleep.

Sleep deprivation bad.

Go to sleep, Crank.

The high metabolism thing is interesting. Jon has been dealing with this sort of sleep pattern lately. Doing some all-nighters on the weekends lately, and I've been at him to knock it off.

My own insomnia is gradually looking more like I"m just shifting my sleep patterns so I don't have to sleep next to Jon. I know that sounds wrong, but it's his snoring. It's totally fucked up my sleeping.

I won't sleep separate from him, but I can't wait for him to complete his sleep study follow-up and get on the c-pap machine.

I always stay up for long periods of time. My reason is insomnia, though. Or some version of it. I have a really hard time falling asleep, so most of the time I'll just stay up until I'm so tired I can just pass out, which sometimes takes 24-48 hours of being awake.

Then, I can sleep as long as I want. I slept for 22.5 hours on Sunday. I've been known to sleep for 28 hours straight, and on average I sleep for 12-15 hours. Wtf?
