I wish I had an Acura RSX. Then again, I just feel lucky that I found a buyer for my Ion in order to save myself some cash every month.

I don't have the $$$ for anything like that right now. But if I had $25,000 to spend on a new car I might get one of these:

Or one of these:

When do we get to put a coilover suspension on it? How about supercharging the motor? Roll cage? :peanutbutterjellytime :peanutbutterjellytime :peanutbutterjellytime

Eww rice burners...

So you like trips to the dealership a lot, huh?

Posted

No I won't make trips to any dealership anyways.. I like old American Muscle, it'll always outperform riceburners anyways. Hell even my old 87 T/A with a stock fuel injected 305, corvette servo and shift kit would beat these cars.

No sir. It wouldn't. A stock RSX does 0-60 about 6.5 seconds. An 87 T/A GTA with auto is in the low to mid 7's. Modifying your trans will improve things but at that point it's no longer stock and the comparison's not really fair, is it?

If you like muscle cars... fine. Just don't hate on someone else's ride because it doesn't match your tastes, or worse, because of where it's built.

It's a simple fact that just about any of the "rice burners" ... as you put it, will outlast just about any American made car. More car for your money.

And your car above, will not beat this one:

and I quote ...

http://www.tanabe-usa.com/motorsports.asp

SIGNAL AUTO CIRCUIT R34 GTR

"The Signal Auto R34 GTR is a car that arguably needs no introduction. Already a legend in Japan, and one of the most talked about, and widely covered cars in the US for several years straight, this R34 Skyline GTR is competitive on a variety of motorsports stages. On the drag strip, the stroked out engine of this vehicle is capable of 1200hp and was able to achieve an astounding quarter mile time of 8.64 seconds using the stock body and untubbed wheel wells. This car is predominantly used for circuit and time attack purposes, in which the hp is tuned down to approximately 700-800hp. This vehicle has broken a variety of records in Japan, and in 2004, broke Buttonwillow's track record and placed 2nd at a variety of other US time attack functions, amazingly only using off the shelf STREET RADIALS provided by BF Goodrich, while the competitors used soft compound racing tires. Tanabe fully supports Signal Auto and provides the R34 with Sustec PRO Suspension and Tanabe Exhaust and Sustec chassis parts."

TUNED DOWN ... did you hear that???? 1200 HP!!!
