Darque Knight Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 It is indeed a sad day... I hope that Nobuo Uematsu's replacement understands the pressure they will be under.
Daniel Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 "I hope that Nobuo Uematsu's replacement understands the pressure they will be under." I am not sure his shoes can really be filled. Not to say he is the best composer ever, but seriously, his style almost defined Final Fantasy, and I dont think he will be emulated very well.
Shade Everdark Posted November 10, 2004 Author Posted November 10, 2004 As I understand it, he will still be doing some work for the Final Fantasy games, but he will be doing it freelance and not under contract, and his work will be more along the lines of character pieces and incidental music, rather along the same path that Amano Yoshitaka took when let his contract with Square lapse.
