This guy I know let someone move in with him and now he wants to get rid of said person....rent was never discussed....he was just being nice but things got bad fast. So the thing is....if this person lives with him for a month is it true he will have to get a court order to get rid of said person? This is what I hear.

throw his ass out, change the locks, and make him get a lawyer. if his name's not on anything, how can he prove he's been there, or has any right to be!?!

not that i know anything about the legality of it - that's just my opinion...

I'd go with this response... honestly, even if it is not legal - a judge would not require your friend to let an unwanted guest stay. The only thing that a judge could order is the return of rent monies. In this case that is just not a concern.

I sorta suggested the throw shit out and change the locks thing.......but my friend is being to wishy washy....I hope he does it before a month is up. He just feels bad because said person has absolutly no where to go.

Well force him to be a vagrant,since vagrancy is illegal in america,he will end up in jail

and have three hots and a cot,but unfortunately on our tax dollars,which that would suck. :respect:

      About to head up to Roseville to return this rental and pick up my truck from the auto shop.  It is supposedly sporting a newly fabricated frame rail...I don't think they are referred to as "chassis" anymore as I see the confusion in shop owner's eyes when they ask me if I'm looking for "body work?".   But I do find it interesting that I told the owner that I worked direct with OEM parts and yet he still wrote me up an invoice with overpriced OEM parts from companies I used to host at the place I used to work for.  With that said, I'm expecting a stellar job for the amount I paid.   ...else, there will be some talk negotiations.

      ~~~~~ Definitely wishing you luck.  Do enjoy yourselves.   But I have to admit, the first thing that came to mind was does roadside assistance reach the desert? 😬
      ~~~~~ Yeah, it's like something happened to my metabolism this past Winter and when I came out of hibernation, that AARP Join Request started looking like something to check into.

      This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...
