Nienna Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 I have over 300 titles currently in my queue. It's about half movies and half series. I currently have the final season of Xena, Firefly, Coupling, Buffy, and Six Feet Under. Yeah, I'm bored.
TomCat Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 You know you have one. You share first! This is what I've rented in the past month. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> HA! You're Sooooooo wrong Jarod. I DON'T have it. And as big a loser as I am, I probably should...I'm the guy at the water cooler at work who secretly plots to kill all the others there who've seen "everything" under the sun, and they shun me, for my lack of cinematic knowledge. The bastards!
Nienna Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 I love Netflix because it brings me things to help me be even more antisocial, without requiring me to go out and be social to get them!

LOL nieena Theres actually some fairly deep meaning to that masked by the humor that , while uncomfortable, i identify with.

I watch alot of movies.
Daniel Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 I had a Netflix account for a while, mostly so I could keep Laura stocked with stuff to do. I bought a DVD burner early in 2003, so I just get three movies, rip them and burn them and send them back. I piled up a few binders of movies, and cancelled the account after Laura passed, because I watch too few movies to justify continuing to pay it. I was ripping movies at about ten times the rate I can watch them. I recently signed up for a Nicheflix account so I can grab some of my old favorite martial arts movies. This is what is qued up now: The Heroic Ones Invincible Shaolin (Shaolin Bloodshed) Chinese Super Ninja (Five Element Ninjas) Dirty Ho Disciples Of The 36th Chamber All Men are Brothers Have Sword Will Travel Swordsman and Enchantress Executioners From Shaolin Kagemusha The Sword The Return of Daimajin Golden Swallow The Sword Stained With Royal Blood Harakiri (Seppuku) Kunoichi: Lady Ninja When the Last Sword is Drawn Basara - The Princess Goh
Onyx Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 I know.. it;s hard when 90% of one's life is 2+ hours from where one is forced to live... I watch alot of movies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can sooo relate to that! Everything I enjoy doing and most of my friends are in/around Detroit. *sigh* Maybe someday I can move. I wish for it every day. Back to the subject, I am working like a demon during the week so I can get everything done and have weekends off, so my queue is filled with things for my kids (mostly anime for my teenager and toons for my grade-schooler). I switched to Blockbuster rather than Netflix. Better service I find, plus I get 2 freebies per month included at the brick-and-mortar store here in town too.
Nienna Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 I hear that Onyx.. I'm actually to the point of complete liquidation of my belongings to save more money to move with and to make it cheaper and easier to actually move when the time comes... and it needs to be soon.

Troy Spiral (13) Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Its now 100% documentaries and all the "standard suggested TV series" that get mentioned on DGN once every 5 minutes. (with the documentaries all at the top) And since i just downgraded from 8 at a time to 2 at a time, its going to be awhile before this list gets cut down to size. Been slowly migrating away to more "interactive" leasure time activities. Be they games, or just socializing... or doing some of the DGN work that always looms on the horizion.

Also, I just wanted to comment on you movies. Awesome mix, man. I'ma bit of a snob, I don't have a couple of the sillier ones on my watch list, BUT, WOW Adaptation Harold and Maude and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind are already in the personal collection and many others are on the to watch list.
