I hate spellcheck, feels like a social obligation. you know what I'm at least trying to type anyway....

Its sort of an assumed sign of respect to your reader to at least attempt to structure / spell properly. If a spellchecker can make that process easier, seems good to me.

It would be nice if we all had esp and knew others intentions, but often when someone spells like a slob, its viewed as unintelligent/rude/lazy.

Not saying i agree with that assumption, but its a reality.
