phee Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 It has started happening to me when I feel depressed.
gothicmom Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I'm assuming you mean greesy food? Comfort food.....
Fierce Critter Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Don't eat geese! They're too cute!!! Greasy food makes me sick. There's not a lot I even like that much - though a fresh batch of Wendy's Fries or KFC is tasty-good. My cravings usually tend more toward salty foods like soft pretzels with cheese, etc. And WAAAAAAAAAAAY too much pop.
Onyx Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I've never, ever been depressed by an election result, until now. It feels like a dark cloud is hanging over the country.... Greasy food and sugar or alcohol make me sick now. Tummy problems are no fun. What I really would like is a big plate of fudge with toasted pecans.
JaneDead Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 I've never, ever been depressed by an election result, until now. It feels like a dark cloud is hanging over the country.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i haven't either. until now. :( i was irked last time during the gore/bush election. but not quite "depressed".
Fierce Critter Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 i was irked last time during the gore/bush election. but not quite "depressed". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, I WAS depressed in 2000. Both Jon and I cried. Jon held it together this time. But I still cried. Several times. Anyway, when I get depressed, upset or sad, I STOP eating.
phee Posted November 4, 2004 Author Posted November 4, 2004 not to "Manly" but... I have been getting a bit chocked as well.
Fierce Critter Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 On the contrary. I respect you MORESO for it. :
TheLordShaper Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 I havent had any greasy food cravings but I have been in one of those go out and try and keep your mind off politics moods. Tonight I went to the my favorite bar with a friend to try and shake the depressing news but its not going away. Ughhh four more years of this makes me feel so ill. ~TLS
Fierce Critter Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 My possible solution: Snakebites & karaoke.
phee Posted November 5, 2004 Author Posted November 5, 2004 I need some hard dancing, to submerge myself in the sounds and rhythems for a while, that's my best medicine.
JaneDead Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 I need some hard dancing, to submerge myself in the sounds and rhythems for a while, that's my best medicine. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> mine too. didn't get to dance last night but i did go see my friends band play and sort of danced in my seat so it was sort of like the same thing. or at least a good substitute.
gothicmom Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 Ugh! I soooooo need to dance! *bangs head on desk*
Fierce Critter Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 Ditto that, GM. Since there's no goth club in the area, that's why I'm resorting to *gasp* karaoke. I get a similar high from performing as I do from dancing. But I haven't found a good karaoke night yet... Maybe this weekend. I should just get my damned 12-string out and learn a set and do an open mike. But I'm too freakin' lazy right now.
