A TV show on H.B.O. Which up until recently I didn't get. I sitll however keep missing it.

I think I might get it on DVD or download it so I can see them all in order.

I watch it from time to time and really enjoy the pieces i catch. I can’t say i get what’s going on as I haven't seen much. The cinematography and costuming is beautiful and the characters seem well developed but without knowing the whole storyline I’m kind of lost. I do however follow dead like me on Showtime and six feet under pretty religiously. That is about it for TV for me though.

Yeah, I'm a maniac for this show and so far have seen every episode at least twice!! Unfortunantly it appears that the the final battle is close at hand, and it kinda of sucks that brother Justine (Alexi) may meet his end soon!

I saw it once and really liked it. It reminded me a lot ofone of my old favorite tv shows - "Friday the 13th, the Series".

I've been hooked on it from the beginning, which really, the entire first season lead up to Season 2. But even in going back and rewatching episodes- I find ALOT that I didn't catch the first time around!

How'd you like Jonsey's tar/feathering this week??? Oh LAWD! I think Ben might meet his end too since Lodz revealed Sofie was the Omega... *crosses fingers HBO won't end the series in 2 seasons* It would be odd without the "regular" cast however.

And Dead Like Me...another fantabulous show. I must say I'm quite fond of Mason- "I've got illegals shoved in my bottom." LOL

I liked how Ben waited around for the vultures to gather before he healed Jonsey, I was on edge for a few seconds cause I thought something unforseen might've happened to Jonsey's wife ( lol, i forgot her name!!) Libby!! DOh, couldn't recall her name to save my life!

I missed at least a good 20min the first time I watched , not sure how that happened. Had a date with my on demand which filled the holes very nicely last night. Looks like Alexi and Sophie have something interesting going on between them, I can't wait to see how that plays out. Grrrrr, have to wait till sunday to see the next episode!!

Okay- so- a gal posted this on a Carnivale group I belong to and I thought it interesting...so I am re-posting it here:

"I don't know if anyone is familiar with what the guy (Talbot-Smith was his name, I guess) was telling Scudder before he was killed. If you ever played Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned, it was a game based on the premise that the bloodline of Christ continued after his death. There were many people who believed that in his lifetime he might have married and had children, and the game based some of the story on the idea that one of his followers ingested his blood as he was crusified, and became immortal, just as the Holy Grail did.

This game took place almost entirely in an area of France known as Rennes le Chateau, and there was a man who had lived there, a monk if I'm not mistaken (I haven't played this game in a while) known as Sauniere. That is who I believe that guy was talking about, Sauniere's Manuscript, hidden in the Priory (also featured in the game) in Rennes le Chateau. I was so flabbergasted by the realization that Sophie is Justin's daughter, and then floored when I recognized those names. This sheds a whole new light on things for me, because now I realize that this might have something to do with Ben being a descendent of Christ. WEIRDER AND WEIRDER."

I got the Carnival first season around Christmas and I watched it all the way through in a few days - I don't want to watch it on t.v. since I would rather wait for the next season box set - And from reading the posts - OMG I can't wait! I did the same with Sopranos also since I never really seemed to catch it in time or I had to work.

The second series is even better than the first. Words can't even begin to describe it. Smack around your ON demand if you don't want to wait, I believe the whole second series is out, minus one episode.

Thats exactly how i do it , and specificly with sopranos. Still havent gotten to carnival yet though.

Troy - You're a Sopranos fan huh?! Did you hear how they where going to make a movie to end all for the show? - That infos been floating around for a bit now - either way - It'd be a nice note to end things on - He either takes over New York or gets killed off...

No Luluby i didnt hear that , is that true? i did hear they are , if not already supposed to start filming season 6 "early 2005" how they are going to do that when i think... Eddie Falco (Carmilla) just had a baby this month i dont know heh.

I also heard that James Galdolfini (tony) is supposed to start filming a movie where he plays ernest hemmingway soon.

Well, from what the "Hubby" says - they are going to do the last season but then like I said theres going to be some sort of movie for it to end it all - Maybe this season they may just make it an "extra short" one and then save the rest for the film? Either way it would be pretty cool to see huh?! As for the film he plays Ernest Hemmingway - I didn't know that and I wonder how that will play out - that could also be part of the "movie buzz" we heard about just switched around - Well looks like I have some more research to do!

Season Finale is well...TONITE! YAY! I cannot wait!!!!

I can't wait to see how Season 2 ends. WEE! Season 3 has not yet been confirmed, so if tonite's episode ends as how I think it will, my pen is gonna get busy and start writing some letters to HBO!

I just got the Series 1 DVDs myself (good deals on eBay!!) I think I will re-watch them all after the finale and see what other clues I can pick up. But I agree with Daevion- if you liked Season 1, you are going to LOVE Season 2 lullaby. Everything comes together now that you know the cast of characters, and each episode keeps you right on the edge of your seat!

I can't even listen to the soundtrack without getting all excited about the show! :grin:

Carnival is now on my netflix queue but its down about 65 dvds. Still have various seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm , Monk, Arrested Development, The Shield, The Office, Coupling and a bunch of movies & documentaries before it gets its "turn" but its commin >tries to read this thread without reading any spoiler parts:chris: arrrg!

They certainly left things WIDE open for Season 3, even if its minus 2 characters! I was panicking, cheering and crying thru the entire hour! I hate to say anything more to ruin it for you Troy- but you seriously gotta bump this show up a few notches!! Oh my.

Well...I certainly picked the right character to portray on Myspace. LOL

I am on episode 7.... I am eating this show up like the twinpeaks/x-files/period peace goodness that it is... If I have an ally this show is definitly up it.
