Apparently, all the single guys on this site want the women who aren't available to them, and vice versa. *straightface*

I've noticed, from my observations in real life, that usually the people that "aren't available" are that way for a reason...they're damn hot! Not always the case, but in a good amount situations it's true.

A few of my unattractive friends are always in and out of whatever relationship that they can find just because it's so hard for them to find someone, whereas, my attractive friends will be in a long-term relationship for quite sometime with someone equally as hot that they waited for to come around. When those hot people break up? The waiting starts again because they know they can pretty much get anyone, and if that's the case, why not wait for a minute to see if someone better comes along, ya know?

I also find that it's harder to date the older you get. Many men my age are married, in long-term relationships, or are divorced with kids and lots of extra baggage. Not to mention that they also like to date much younger women...

I second that, prick. I'm at the point in my life where I'm looking to settle down and it seems that women who are older than I are more in line with what I'm interested in. In the words of every crabby neighbor ever, "Damn kids!" So, yeah greyhalo, we're out here! It's not all doom and gloom yet!

I'm in the same boat as far as being picky... and the pool is a fair bit shallower, I'll grant you. But it's not impossible, merely more challenging (note positive connotation ). That, and there's so much less free time and spare cash to get out and do the things that deepen the dating pool. Oh, well. I'll just keep living a life that is truest to what I believe in and, someday, I'll find what I'm looking for. Yay for silver linings!

We can date a fair bit younger up to a fair bit older.... call it a 20 year span, maybe somewhat less if you insist on being closer in age. When you're younger, you don't tend to date that much older, and realistically only a few years younger at most. When you get into your late 40's and into 50's you're reaching an age where many younger people have no interest in dating you... it just sounds too old, from my experience. Then again, maybe I'm a little more cavalier about age then most.

Um, I don't want to date 15 year-olds, sorry. They would be 20 years younger than me. Anyway, I like dating people within about 3-5 years of my age best. I have dated both younger and older though.
