Yeah even though I would rather not be on the phone no mater what club I am at,I just wonder what made them all of a sudden change the rule.

Probably trying to get more people in.

... There are times I refuse to go because my kids get sick and I have no way to be reached if need be.

I like that. I've never liked leaving my cell phone in my car. I'll probably never get a call, but I like to have it in case my kids were to call. They would only call me if it were urgent.

Things get stolen from cars there and that is one thing I don't want to be without, especially if my CAR gets stolen. I'd want my cell phone to call someone to pick me up.

Edited to add - me too Rayne! We were posting at the same time.

This is a really big deal to me. I just may start going to CityClub more often again.

Personally I'd be more afraid of breaking or losing my phone at city club (or having it stolen) so I think I'll continue to leave mine elsewhere. I'm glad the option is there though, especially for parents.

I'm glad they are finally allowing cell phones in the club. Being a parent, I too need to keep my phone on me at all times so this makes me happy.

Someone broke in my car out there the night Ministry played at Harpos... stole my phone & a bunch of other shyte. So yeah I'm all in favor of being able to bring it inside.

It was kind'a ironic tho... I was all congratulating myself on my car surviving the Harpos area unscathed (2 or 3 people I know had vehicles broken into there that night)... then surprise!

I bought a nifty little purse (tiny!) with a cell phone holder and a place for my license that has a long strap I can put over my shoulder and across my chest. I can dance with it on too. I love it!

Talking about all this is making me in the mood to go out :) I may actually be there this Saturday.

I think its cool as long as nobody is becoming the unwilling/unknowing subject of a camera phone.

That's probably why they banned them in the first place.

I have one of those too.

You can remove probably from that sentence with 100% safety. :wink

I never bring my phone into any club unless I am wearing something with pockets, which does not include 95% of my clubwear. ADD kicking in, but why do they not make women's clubwear with some sort of hidden pocket in the outfit for you wallet or phone or ID or whatever you carry? I hate having to try to stuff my belongings into my bra or my boots or wherever, and I feel like a total spaz dancing with a purse.

Anyway, I don't like to leave my phone in the car either, I just don't bring it. My life is not controlled by my phone and I never go to a club without someone with me, so I don't worry about it. Nevertheless, I'm glad others have the option

I totally know what you mean. My cotton kilt has pockets so that's cool, but my vinyl one (lick it, love it) doesn't have any pockets so where am I supposed to put my stuff? I could wear a shirt with pockets but I like wearing my vinyl shirt (lick it, love it) with the vinyl kilt (lick it, love it) because you can never have too much vinyl (you know what goes in here), and that doesn't have any pockets either. So I'm forced to liberate one of my dice bags from my gaming stuff and use that as a "purse" and tie it to the buckle on my kilt somehow. It's really annoying.

cells weren't allowed at city before camera phones even existed, so ah... no. the official explanation back in the '09's was something about it interfering with the walkies the staff used.

then they stopped using those anyway. not sure why they waited this long to allow-erize them.
