I've never liked Haujobb, or any of the Daniel Meyers projects. And allah knows I've tried. Most people that share my general tastes in music just love everything he does, but it just bores me to tears. Its like I really, really want to like his stuff, and ever release that comes out, I listen to it hoping this will be the one I like... and I end up yawning my way through it.

I can't wait to hear this, as they are one of my favorite bands. I have always liked the older stuff better, but I do like the newer more poppier direction he seems to be going in. Wonder who's going to be doing the remixes?

I would strongly reccomend his side projects, Destroid, Architect, Clear Vision, and countless others, there's too many to possibly remember right now.

More case in point. I didn't even know Detroid was him, and I checked it out because everyone was talking about how brilliant it is. A bunch of people saying it was one of the best discs to come out last year. I don't get it... there isn't anything interesting going on in there. What am I missing?

music, like art, is largely a matter of taste.

maybe its just not yer style? nothing wrong there.

What I like is the complexity of it, the multiple layers and textures all interwoven as well as the passion and dissonence of the vocals.
