paradox Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 Solutions for a small Planet <{POST_SNAPBACK}> its on The List
Daniel Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 I've never liked Haujobb, or any of the Daniel Meyers projects. And allah knows I've tried. Most people that share my general tastes in music just love everything he does, but it just bores me to tears. Its like I really, really want to like his stuff, and ever release that comes out, I listen to it hoping this will be the one I like... and I end up yawning my way through it.
Daniel Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 I'm not sure what perfection has to do with anything.
phee Posted March 14, 2005 Author Posted March 14, 2005  Just making fun of that which is different....
t1m3k1ll3r Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 I can't wait to hear this, as they are one of my favorite bands. I have always liked the older stuff better, but I do like the newer more poppier direction he seems to be going in. Wonder who's going to be doing the remixes? I would strongly reccomend his side projects, Destroid, Architect, Clear Vision, and countless others, there's too many to possibly remember right now.
Daniel Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 More case in point. I didn't even know Detroid was him, and I checked it out because everyone was talking about how brilliant it is. A bunch of people saying it was one of the best discs to come out last year. I don't get it... there isn't anything interesting going on in there. What am I missing?
paradox Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 music, like art, is largely a matter of taste. maybe its just not yer style? nothing wrong there.
phee Posted March 16, 2005 Author Posted March 16, 2005 What I like is the complexity of it, the multiple layers and textures all interwoven as well as the passion and dissonence of the vocals.
t1m3k1ll3r Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 More case in point. I didn't even know Detroid was him, and I checked it out because everyone was talking about how brilliant it is. A bunch of people saying it was one of the best discs to come out last year. I don't get it... there isn't anything interesting going on in there. What am I missing? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You have to have the secret decoder ring to listen to it, you didn't get the limited box? :D
bav Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 You have to have the secret decoder ring to listen to it, you didn't get the limited box? :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its in the limited box? And here I sent Metropolis a bunch of cereal box-tops for the decoder ring.
bav Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 Is that "Industrial Cereal"? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Heh...actually at Necto on Monday, Carla & Saint were telling me about a cereal called "robots" that had the cereal puffs in the shape of gears & cogs and a little toy robot that lurks inside the box. But I'm all for "Industia-O's".
