Msterbeau Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 So... my plan to get a Mac hasn't worked out due to my EBay auctions failing to bring in the needed cash, I decided to make some upgrades to my system. Since it looks rather cooler then before (IMHO) I thought I'd show it off. And since I'm showing mine off... I'd like to invite everyone else to show off yours. Your computer, I mean...
Rayne Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Nothing fancy ... just a Mac. LOL. ... A MacBook laptop ... in white (sitting on my HP scanner/copier/printer in the picture below). And a Toshiba Satellite laptop (on a cooling pad below), that sometimes lives on my desk sometimes on Phee's next to his Nord. Oh and for Christmas (after the picture was taken) I got a set of Logitech external speakers and subwoofer. Just to stay on topic. HERE: ........... In all actuality I'm still drooling over the car on your screen Marc.
Shade Everdark Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 That's a nice, clean-looking case, Marc.

Msterbeau Posted February 8, 2007 Author Posted February 8, 2007 That's a nice, clean-looking case, Marc. Thanks. I agonized (As designers do) over which case to get from the aesthetic point of view. There were a couple others I liked but this was the best mix of price, design, function, size, etc. I It's tool-less which I personally think doesn't matter a whole lot. Except in places where you can't access with a screwdriver I'd rather have them then dealing with all the half-assed tool-less solutions the case manufacturers come up with. What I really liked is the way the front doors split in two and move rotate to the sides. It's nicely done. Manufacturers info and pics: http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/Products.aspx?pid=1274
Scary Guy Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I'll post the pictures later but I'll brag now. I've renamed the main system Dalek Sec, the IRC server Dalek Caan, the web server will be Dalek Thay, and I think I'll resurrect my old laptop and call that Dalek Jast creating THE CULT OF SKARO! I also renamed my father's machine to Darvos. I will however attach my wallpaper. Also I recently upgraded the processor from a 2.4 GHz to a hyperthreading 2.8 GHz and the PSU from 300w to 600w.
Head Wreck Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 update of mine, OCZ Ram was on offer i couldnt turn down, so the machine is 4GB for under £100 running same clock frequency if a little higher latency (but that doesnt affect intels as much as AMD's)
