Bad Girls And Good Boys

Alright, so this is pretty straight and simple.

I am a "good" boy. I am in the military, dress like the average joe, speak clearly and intelligently, no criminal record, etc etc. But I have a "thing" for the 'goth' or 'punk' girl. The attitude and look gets me. I have gone to CC many times before, and I would dress up .. sorta.. like dark jeans and maybe a black knit shirt or something... nothing like the majority of guys with tight jeans, a SMALL tshirt and styled hair... I am just being me... but it does not seem that the girls I am interested in, are interested in guys like me. I mean, I am not some dull guy... I am goofy and retarded to be sure, extremely in shape... but it seems that if people don't "dress the part" the rest of them does not matter.

Thoughts?

You aren't alone as I looked somewhat like that when I first started going to CC. Could even hear one girl talking to another one saying, "What is HE doing here?" in a very rude sounding manner. I kind of smiled and the next time I went out shopping and bought a long black leather duster, a hat, and experimented with some makeup and BLAMMO, insta goth hot. lol

Generally, if you are going to cc, "those" type of girls are there because they want to pick up "those" type of guys. So if you want to pick up a hot goth chick, I suggest you give yourself the best possible chance, and dress up yourself.

It doesn't mean that you are changing who you are, and besides, dressing up is fun! And if you don't enjoy it, how are you going to be compatible with a girl that does?

And another thing, since when was being a goth considered "bad"? If you want "bad", you can try your luck at the local top 40 night club. There are plenty of nasty girls there!

hmmm

I do like a guy dressed goth, but that wouldn't completely exclude him if he wasn't. In fact it sort of bugs me when a guy dresses like he's going to a club 24/7. Can't say I wouldn't try to get him in some leather pants now and then though ;)

I think it's more a question of the maturity rather than whether a person is or is not dressed goth. Maybe you are running into some very immature people (not really a question of age, more of character).

I think you read "bad" wrong. I meant bad as in gooood.

Don't get me wrong. I enjoy the "scene" immensely, I listen to the music non-stop. I mean, everything about me is what I like, except for the way I dress on a regular basis... I dunno. I am going to go to CC next weekend I think, I will see how it goes.

If somebody is going to blow you off just because of how you dress then thats not really the type of person you need to be around anyways

Totally disagree. The guys that catch my eye there more look just normal. Jeans and Tshirts....young, tall and good looking. Maybe dancing all raver like.....

The whole goth thing is nice, I totally appreciate the guys who dress to the 9's and all but they look like they are trying to hard for one and.....are a bit aloof.....and maybe a bit to gay looking, not that there is anyting wrong with it.

Don't get me wrong, I do like the whole feel of being in a matrix movie....But my best experiences have been with 'normal' looking guys who just like to get wild and have a good time.

Like last time, there was this guy who claims to be a model, is extrememly good looking......wears these awesome clothes and goth style.....and is totally stuck on himself and unapproachable.

But he adds to the feel of the place....

I just don't know about guys who would rather put all their hard earned cash towards clothes rather than....oh say.....fixing up his car or something.

But thats me.

Then there is the makeup. I like it but always wonder if they will be like an unveiled kiss member in the morning.....ahhhhh!

:wink

If you're going to go after someone because of how they're dressed, it shouldn't surprise you if they don't respond to how you're dressed.

Sheer Genius. :respect:

I like the way my girlfriend dresses. She has a very individual look that's a mix of a bunch of different types of styles. While it's one of the things I like about her, it certainly isn't why I chose to date her.

Although it may have helped. :wink

Brenda is the most fun in how she dresses - she's got that unique vibe thats completely her.

I am also a fan of your lady's style; every time I see her I want to steal her outfit! :respect:
