Karaoke Tuesdays @ The Ritz

That's right I've been roped into doing Karaoke. I know I said I would never ever ever ever ever ever ever do it again, but apparently for the right price I will in fact swallow my pride and get down and dirty with it. So I will do it AND I will enjoy it thoroughly. Why next week? Well they really want a new guy badly and the man in charge said to the Disintegration Disco guys "He's out, you're in, we need your guy by next week" and they just kind of glance over and point to me as we were talking about it in the car ride on the way over.

The down side now I need to find equipment like pronto, gather CDs, get a player, a PA system (they don't use the house system for it). But I can and will do this because I'm totally fucking awesome and pulling shit together. Especially when I'm getting paid fat cash for it. So that will become a priority after this Thursday which I'm still going insane for preparing for that and is going to also be totally fucking awesome.

But yes I said karaoke Tuesdays. No rap (sorry, out of my hands) but lots of rock and country (the regulars like the country). I'll probably throw competitions each week too with an ultimate cage match of the best of the best each month.

I also promise not to bring any rotten fruit or vegetables and arm the audience with them, or make fun of the singers until they cry making Simon Cowell look nice... anymore... I swear.

Also yes I will find a Rocky Horror CD somewhere so you can sing to that, because I do remember that being my highlight of the night at Mephisto's when the entire group got into it. I will also try to have a great selection of alternative karaoke just for my friends here.

I am excited, almost as much as I am for Disintegration Disco Thursdays.

Oh wow I'm doing it again this week? Awesome

I've managed to get a decent sized collection. All I need now are the few Halloween disks I had from two years ago. Of which I WILL have a Rocky Horror disk on hand (I'm sure Dave will eat that shit up).

Also this WILL be goth/industrial friendly, and I will try to either get or create goth versions of songs.

I'll have a list of all the disks I have up soon.

The name of this event is "Scaraoke"

I'm thinking I'm going to be moving to AZ, soon! Can't wait! I friggin' love it here! The heat doesn't bother me at all and the best part? NO SNOW!!! (S.N.O.W. - Shit  No One Wants)   Been staying in Bullhead City where the kids and grandkids live. Next, we're going to the wife's cousin's which is a ways North of Kingman, in the middle of nowhere, where we actually plan to move.   I really like Bullhead. It's a nice little town. Not overcrowded like Colorado Springs has become, at all. Very light traffic, reasonable prices on everything, low taxes, etc. The river offers a lot to do, with a lot of beaches and campgrounds all around it.   But yeah even though we've been over 110º-115º F just about every day,  I can handle it!  What I can't handle anymore, is snow and being cold. Just tired of it. Give me the desert over a blizzard any day!

Nope, we wasn't doing anything. I didn't want to go by myself.  I ended up doing karaoke here. It would of been a perfect day to go, though.
