Vater Araignee Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 I just found a stack of floppies containing windows 3.11 COLLECTORS ITEM!!!
Fierce Critter Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 We're holding onto our HP Paviliion 6635 just to get all the info off the hundred or so floppies that can't be used on our brand-new computer. I'll be happy to see those damned things gone.
Vater Araignee Posted March 16, 2005 Author Posted March 16, 2005 Sorry. Why cant you use the flops on your new comp?
Fierce Critter Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 No floppy drive. And I'm kinda glad. These floppies actually date back to the mid 80's when I first got into computers. needed going through a VERY long time now. This is a good excuse to go through them all and toss them.
Ginevra Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 Depending on what's actually ON the floppies, you might be able to sell them to some computer buff/collector or some nostalgic buff might want them. Doesn't hurt to check
The_Dark Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 I've got an un-opened copy of Windows 286 and a copy of MS_DOS 2.2 still shrink wrapped... not that big a deal really.

I sold my second comador vic 20 for $250 and a Tandy tsr 80 color basic for $200 try ebaying what you have and I'm sure you will find it is a big deal to sombody.
Fierce Critter Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 It's all personal stuff. From early MacDraw & MacWrite files that I'm ready to just toss, to things I've written and graphics I've created, old resumes, my desktop publishing portfolio, things of that nature. Nothing I'd want anyone else to have.
