Thus Spoke Zarathustra. Nietzsche. Kinda trippy, really.

It reads rather like a sarcastic Bible.

Recently finished Seven Summits, about two middle-aged guys and their trials/tribulations to climb the 7 summits. Was slow to start, but really got into it!

Just starting 'Desert Solitaire' by Edward Abbey. Like it so far...only a few chapters in. I too have reading ADD.

I recently read an article titled "Recognizing and Managing Asymptomatic Left Ventricular Dysfunction After Myocardial Infarction" in Critical Care Nurse magazine while taking a rest break at the indoor water park. Does that count? I'm such a nerd :geek: I need a good collection of poetry or short works to read. Lack of time and attention span prevent any novel reading at this time. Any recommendations?

Experiments with people: Revelations from Social Psychology

This is a really great book because it breaks down why they are experimenting with a theory or principal, how they conducted the tests and what the results mean. Another bonus to this book is that you don’t really need to follow chapter by chapter. If you find a topic or test to be interesting you can skip to that chapter, if addressing another point that was made in another chapter they will reference it to allow you to have a better understanding of what they are talking about.

Currently reading a little eroguro manga by Suehiro Maruo called Inugami. Just finished Rocking Horse Ballerina, a novel by Otsuki Kenji (not particularly recommended, kinda bland and predictable) and GichiGichi-kun, another by Suehiro, but very mainstream for his stuff...usually his stuff is a lot more controversial. The last book I read in English was 1984 on the plane home. Other books I'm working on include Ban Sensei by Yoshiya Nobuko. The stuff I read is too niche-y.

For people who do like manga, has anyone heard of Maruo? Though you might be more likely to know him if you are a fan of old eroguro Edogawa Ranpo stuff than if you are a mainstream manga fan.

Yup....and don't forget 3001 (aka the continuing adventures of Frank). Those were my intro to Clarke, this was the first time going through Rama.

Damned and interesting book. There were definitely some parts where I disagreed, but a lot of it is very insightful - and just a really good read.
