I saw Dead mans chest in the theater but hadnever seen the first movie, so I didnt really get a lot of the references. I watched the black pearl one yesterday and it is so much fun.

*spoilers below*

I loved the way the skeletons didnt show except in moonlight and how endearing and slightly goofy Captain Jack was. Now Im looking forward to watching dead mans chest again, and this time will understand it more.

Im finding lately I just want fun in my movies. I'm sort of sick of my usual grim movie fare

I totally agree. When the first movie came out everyone was saying how campy and shallow it was. I loved it 'cuz it was totally fun.
