Hmm. That implies that the important difference is whether I or someone else is being cursed at. It really has a broader application than that, though... I have to stress some of the other words to get the full effect.

I DON'T deserve to be cursed at?? (vs. not deserving it, indicating strong belief that I do, in fact, deserve it)

I don't DESERVE to be cursed at?? (vs. me being cursed at without deserving it, which i feel is preposterous under any circumstance... i ALWAYS deserve tongue lashings...)

I don't deserve to be CURSED at?? (vs. any other treatment i deserve besides being a target for cursing... i'm having trouble coming up with one. maybe spanking, but you didn't imply that anywhere)

I don't deserve to be cursed AT?? (vs. me cursing at everybody else all the fucking time)

I think that covers all the bases.
