Uh, I have have a kid and have these things =) Keegan think the ink is great .. he tries to grab it only to realize that its mommy's skin =)

I hope Jarod never made the assumption that I would change these things lol ..

That kind of sucks, you know.

I'd be telling Jon NO.

I have HAD it with others trying to dictate the way I should look. As long as I'm doing what's right, why the f*ck should my ink or piercings matter? Because it might OFFEND those pesky soccer moms?

You know what THEY can kiss, right?

my guns dont fire anything other than BB's but some are powerfull enough to embed the BB into wood at 60 yards

netherthe less they go incase armed coppers raid house after kid tells teachers about "daddy and his machine guns" has happned to a friend of mine

i guess i'm confused. jon thinks you SHOULD take out your piercings, or he's afraid that you would and wouldn't want you to?

Posted

yea - I'm still getting my sleeves finished and I don't plan on taking out my piercings... I just thought it was funny - he was all worried about our kids perception of me - wtf? I'm their mom, what I say goes damn it - LOL

I have kids, and guns, even *gasp* in the same house. They are locked in a safe AND have trigger locks on them. It's all about being a responsible parent and teaching your children the proper use of firearms. I grew up in a house with three brothers and there was always guns in our home, just hanging on the wall even with the ammunition right next to them and we never had a problem because my parents taught us the importance of firearm saftey.

agreed. education is the key. but any fruit of my loins would be just like me.

they'd pull them apart down to the nuts and bolts and loose bits. and mine are more expensive than the real ones more often than not. so they'd be out of the house. probably into a storage locker untill the kids are older

ok. you know i love jon, he's my friend and all, but...

A. why the hell does he care about tats/piercings on a potential mother of more children, especially considering his previous experiences that did NOT involve tats and piercings and

B. why the fuck are you guys talking about having kids already

please feel free to share these questions with him.

I do believe in education and firearms - I grew up with guns in the house too and I turned out just peachy

and Erin... LOL - I'll pass the info along when he wakes up from his 5 fucking hour nap! LOL

I understand what you're saying and it's good that you are smart and responsible about that.

Unfortunately though, most people aren't that smart or responsible.

Anyway..back on topic.

yeeeeesh, I don't think that's a man thing, it must be a Jon thing. you won't catch me saying that!

"Women marry men hoping they'll change. Men marry women hoping they won't change." I don't know who originated that quote or even where I heard it but it seems to be true more often than not. Although there are some dominering men who try to control things, but then again, there are women like that too.

we don't bother with guns in Australia.

Actually.....(I am not siding with him here, just my personal experience) when your dropping the kids off for the car pool....taking them to the game and sitting there chatting with the moms.....volunteer at the school to work the cash for the bake sale......you may find a little conformity goes a LONG way with those uptight mainstream, right wing moms.

And not just the moms but your kids teachers and coaches. I had well......Its in the pics. The most OUTRAGEOUS hair.....and makeup in the 80's. And my wardrobe was well.....rockin'...but in questionable taste I suppose. I stopped wearing tight lowcut tops...tight pants.....lost the huge multi colored hair.. I was not helping my kids fit in AT ALL. In fact, they were probably a bit more outcast because of me.

Just my 2 cents.

Obviously if you can pull it off and everyone love you for you without judging on appearences....and you can KEEP all this going....more power to ya.

Oh and I grew up with guns but they were kept out of reach and we knew how to use them. Also, Klaus is anti gun. I don't own one yet as they just turned 18......but I bought (for my kids) swords...knives.....they love weaponery. It is about teaching them how to handle them once they are old enough and that depends on the individual.

This is the first home I have lived in that DIDN'T have guns......but then again I used to live in AZ.

This is the most important question of the day: do your kids have trigger-locks, too? :wink

I had a crazy idea once. it was great! :-)

There's a group on SG (Suicide Girls) called "righteous spawn" that I'm part of. It's a parents group. I doubt anyone in there is without at least a little ink or piercings, and there's some very good parenting going on. One has very little to do with the other, except how outsiders judge you. I think you know where "normal" parents can go.

You might actually find yourself removing the facial piercings all of your own volition - I just spent five days with my 13 montgh old nephew and when that kid pulls he FUCKING PULLS. And boy does he like shiny objects. OW!

When My kids were little I kept my nails short. I accidently poked one of them with a nail once...so....somethings just go out the window until they are older. Its life.
