DeadBurgerKing (10) Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 I did a search for "Kollektive Noiz" and the name has yet to be used...so I'm thinking about renaming "DBK Eats Brains" to "Kollektive Noiz"...whatcha guys think? Btw two new songs uploaded!!
Msterbeau Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 As the two "gay" reviewers from the show In Living Color would say: "Hated it!" Sorry man... I despise most alternative spellings like yours. It's not cool or clever... it's juvenile. Why not go with just DBK?
DeadBurgerKing (10) Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 As the two "gay" reviewers from the show In Living Color would say: "Hated it!" Sorry man... I despise most alternative spellings like yours. It's not cool or clever... it's juvenile. Why not go with just DBK? Well, the thing is I have a vocalist now, and Joni is my lyricist...so I don't want the name to be centered on me anymore, considering I'm not the only person working on the songs anymore...well...soon anyways...
BrassFusion Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 it doesn't look like "collective noise" is taken. but "collective noize" is a label. i'd suggest picking a different name. and what's wrong with DBK? it's an abbreviation, if you use it the right way no one will know what it means or what you're talking about or that it applies to only you and not the band.
DeadBurgerKing (10) Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 I'd feel selfish and greedy using 'DBK' ...
Homicidalheathen Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 I thought I had heard that phrase before......yah I would consider something else.
DeadBurgerKing (10) Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 Damn... I want something clever...
Msterbeau Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 I'd feel selfish and greedy using 'DBK' ... So make up some way that it includes Joni... ?? Also... Ask her. Maybe she doesn't care.
Msterbeau Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Damn...I want something clever... Where's my "clever" hammer? :-)
phee Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 DBK is more original I admit.... but it is also a bit.... er limiting in case you decide to shift styles at some point
DeadBurgerKing (10) Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 Well, you do have a point...but what I'm saying is if it's in my name...it's like I'm taking the credit...even if they're ok with the name I have now...I just don't feel right about it...you know?
phee Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Well, you do have a point...but what I'm saying is if it's in my name...it's like I'm taking the credit...even if they're ok with the name I have now...I just don't feel right about it...you know? Well when I start a new project I don't name it until I have a good amount of material.... and I see what name matches it....
DeadBurgerKing (10) Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 Well, the music I have up pretty much sums up the type of sound I'm trying to achieve...
Scales Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Find some sort of theme and take words/ideas from that? I agree with Phee, when I'm working on a mix I don't start writing lyrics for it till I have a chorus base and somewhat of an intro.
DeadBurgerKing (10) Posted May 4, 2007 Author Posted May 4, 2007 I do that with my songs...but I kinda wanna get a name asap, u know?
DeadBurgerKing (10) Posted May 4, 2007 Author Posted May 4, 2007 What about 'Trioxic' ? Combination of Trioxon (chemical that resurrected the dead in The Return of the Living Dead movie series) and toxic... Which is kinda fitting in the way that 'tri' is a word for three, and there will be three of us...
DeadBurgerKing (10) Posted May 12, 2007 Author Posted May 12, 2007 Ok, well I think I'm sticking with Trioxic then...and a new song has been uploaded, if you guys are intrested... "Morbisity"
