I Must Be Getting Old.

I find myself wanting to stay in more. Crowds...wierdos....muggings....costs....lines....mean people....getting pulled over.

Its not just that. I prefer a night of boozing to drugging....

Surprisingly am waaay more choosey about who I hang with and bed.

Just having the time and energy to do music and meditate is nice. I have so much more responsibility that time is of the essence and I appreciate my alone time so much more.

Don't care if I am a fuddy duddy sometimes.

Going out isn't always relaxing....

Sometimes I just need to relax, unwind....no stress.

So appreciate my quiet, personal space and time to do things that matter.

My kid said she loves drawing and that makes her happier than going out as well. (one of them anyway...they are the night and day twins.)

Its nice to realize you don't have to be constantly doing something, anything on the weekends....or doing something cool. It does not make you boring to YOU so WTF. Your not bored, your not boring. Since it doesn't matter to anyone else....right? Kinda like the tree in the forest thing........I think.

When I was younger, before I had allot of money to go out....I used to worry about it a bit. Used to think I was missing out on SO MUCH. I remember not having money to go see a Star Wars movie once. I mean, like for 2 yrs. By the time I had moeny to see it, twas old news and not playing anywhere.

But I don't care as much these days. Movies trigger narcalepsy....its so embarressing to pass out in front of people it really is. They think your a heroin addict. Old rock and country does it too......loooong story.

Actually I was much more in tune and spiritual because I was forced to spend time on it, when I was younger, had nothing to do but hang with a few friends who were into some cool stuff like meditation...yoga....buddism. Now I gotta push myself.

It was kinda cool to be a free roaming gypsy on the back of a Harley for awhile too but.....

I swear to god if I have to sleep in the cold on the hard ground I get sick and sore now. Just not fun.

I want my latte' and shower please!

So that being said: I AM PROUD TO EMBRACE MY INNER GEEK!!!

Yay. :jamin

Don't feel bad. I was trying to sleep last night and the kids across the street had their cars parked and were whooping it up. I found myself saying in the middle of the night "damn kids" as I rolled over and placed a pillow on my head. Next stop...crochet.

Eh well I guess its just a matter of tastes. And knowledge. Yesturday I took the kids to do something that made us bump our heads. Now, I have had many head bumps so when they asked why I only did 2 flips I said......trust me......when you get older, taking risk is not as fun as it used to be.

I don't have as much noodle to spare.

Then I was chatting with a much younger man who said he has ALWAYS been a bit nerdy and stays home to read, rather than going out.....ALLOT.

So its ok. I am just catching up to him now. Heh. I am NOT LAME I tells ya. Just a late starter to the whole nerd movement.

Funny, I'm generally a very quiet homebody, but lately I want to be more social as I age. I think it's also because I work at home and just need to get out. Oh, and hubby drives me nuts some times. He's sweet but I just need to GET OUT every once in a while. Go ahead and embrace your inner geek. It's fun. :starwars:
