mallochai Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Don't forget the age old "spider-heroes love america, america is the bestest."
LuluVox Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 He totally was emo. My favorite part was when, looking in the mirror, freshly evil, Peter Parker decides that no, I think I like my hair better IN MY EYES. Eyes which, of course, are lined in black kohl. That's the cue that he's gone bad, the hair in the eyes. And the black suit, naturally.
kellygrrrrrl Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Um....fricken AWSOME! I cried. He was totally emo, but HOT emo.... Topher Grace being bad? Overall.... I LOVED it. That one and the whole series so far!
Shade Everdark Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 I couldn't get past the idea that this film was satirizing the first two, and superhero movies in general. But Bruce Campbell? Awesome.
CixWicked Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 In a nut shell, I dug it. A lot My highlights were Topher Grace finally becoming Venom... Emm... that was perfect in every way save phsyically, and I can get over that... He wasn't as big as Venom was in the comics, but he had the total attitude and then some. Very cool. The sandman portion was a bit Extranious if you asked me, and I've heard people say it was a little to complicated. The MJ story pissed me off, cause she was completely irrational, petty and emotional at ALL times. I think it was more a product of the writing, and I understand what they were trying to convey, but they went about it poorly. BUT Action was -awesome-... My biggest gripes in the movies were that the computer animation of Spidy was way too obvious, but it seemed lessened to a huge extent in this one. I was impressed. I dug it. CixWicked
Dubh Aingeal Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 I couldn't get past the idea that this film was satirizing the first two, and superhero movies in general. But Bruce Campbell? Awesome. Well he was in the first two, so why not the third.
cptdeath Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 i'm gonna see it tonight after the pistons game. sam rami the director was joxer in hurculeas an bruce was italicus king of theves in that series. stands to reason bruce would be in this to. i'm a big fan of his by the way. so venom should be a 30 year old weight lifter who looses his job to parker at the papper. like a howie long or some duke nukem look alike. i've been a big venom fan for years. just playing maximum carnage on super the other day. some friends of mine don't want to see it cause of the casting for venom.
Amerist Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Don't forget the age old "spider-heroes love america, america is the bestest." I especially noticed when they carefully designed a shot of Spider-man showing up at the last fight scene, landing on a building, huge US flag fluttering behind him. A picture-perfect comic book shot.
