Homicidalheathen Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 I got these day/night contacts.....suppose to be safe to get drunk and fall asleep in. So I do. And they get dry and stick. I pull them out. I notice It ripped my eye! It bled a little. The skin (eye skin, the film part that covers your eye) is healing but this pisses me off. I payed more for these damn things. I guess I should go to the doctor and get the other kind?
ManicQueen Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 I was told to never sleep in any kind of contacts.. ever.
Homicidalheathen Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 Well my friend sleeps in hers for 3 days then throws them away. I am never doing this again, and I am getting the other kind...maybe they wont stick so easy. I payed more for these damn things!
Onyx Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Well my friend sleeps in hers for 3 days then throws them away. I am never doing this again, and I am getting the other kind...maybe they wont stick so easy. I payed more for these damn things! I sleep in mine, have for 10 years but I would never try to take mine out without hydrating my eyes first with a lot of drops. I have never had a problem so far. You need to get in to see an eye specialist NOW. A corneal ulcer is considered a medical emergency. You could lose sight in that eye permanently.
Gauge Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 i agree with onyx, i had contacts for a while and fell asleep in them a few times. it sucked and hurt like hell but drops hydrated it enough that i got them out pretty easy. it just sounds like your eye got to dry and so it. . ."stuck". i would go to the doc tho cause if there was enough damage that you bled it couldve caused some serious damage. if you cant get in right away watch out for infections and stuff and i would keep drops handy.
Homicidalheathen Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 This sucks! Why this week? Ok, he said my eyes are too sensetive and tender to wear ANY contact sleeping. I hate getting myself up to take them out when I am out of it tired. Tis quite difficult. So I ask him what is this extended wear up to 30 days thing all about and he says only for certain people and your not one of them. Some people have to. I am thinking who? Astronauts? More proof there are aliens among us. Who else can wear them 30 days? Now I have to go a week without makeup and use these drops 4 times a day until it heals.
