I'm so happy I found out how to do that!! Yay me!! But back to welcoming TRIXIEGOTHGIRL...

I like the name btw, how'd you come up with the 'Trixie' part...is that your real name? (You don't have to answer that if you don't want to. I'm just curious and no worries if you want to keep your real name secret ;))

Thank you for the warm welcome. Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I've been a little forgetful lately. I forgot my password here so it took me a while to remember it. First things first. I've always liked the name Trixie. I got it from the old Speed Racer cartoon show. GothGirl just came to me. My real name is Valerie, but here you can call me Trixie. My current location is Fallon, NV. I was born and raised in California but I was dragged kicking & screaming to Nevada when I was 14. (no thanks to my late parents) Anyway, I work at Wal-Mart, I have two kids(boy & girl), my son's in the ARMY but not yet in Iraq. In August I'll be married 21 years. My hobbies include crochet & bowling. I just happened to stumble upon this site. I've been looking for a site like this for about a year now. I used to belong to one similar to it until it was shut down. My hubby & I are both US Navy vets. Oh, I'm also not shy about my age; I'm 43. I hope that doesn't make me too old for this site. lol Anything else you want to know about me, just ask. I have a really good feeling that I'm going to like it here.

*giggle* Yes, one in a robe and slippers who looks really lost. Or one sitting on a porch throwing rocks at children yelling "You kids get off my lawn!"

This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...

Well we were supposed to leave last night, but life has a way of making plans for you. I'm about to get up and get ready to go on our vacation. Had and still have a lot to do.  Not easy to just up and leave a ranch with a lot of animals and things that need taken care of. We even have people here to watch and tend things while we're gone, but still.   I had to change the radiator in my car before we leave - got that done last night. Took a lot more out of me than I thought it would, so by the time I finished I had little energy for anything else. Today I just have a couple more quick things to do on the car, like cleaning it and packing stuff. Couple of minor things to do around the ranch today, as well.   I figure we should be on the road this evening sometime. I'm looking forward to it. We're going to see the wife's side of the family, people I actually like,  in Vegas and AZ. Should only be gone for a few days, maybe a week. Going to the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead and all kinds of stuff in between, so I'm pretty stoked. I LOVE the Southwest.   Wish me luck that my car survives the desert! (Hence new radiator) 🤠👍

Sometimes sleep can be a scary thing.  I passed out so hard at 4:54pm today.  Yesterday wiped me out with rentals, appointments and helping a lost dog get back home.  Fortunately, I found him on Facebook and contacted the owners and he was picked up before nightfall.  But I think I totally overdid it and paid for it today in the middle of handling business.  Thankfully it was some work at home stuff.   I definitely do not like being that kind of tired.  It's like the World could end and I'd wake up afterwards trying to find out what happened.
