Welcome aboard & welcome to Detroit. besides City downtown, there is Luna at 12 & main in Royal Oak, a suburban refuge for clubbers like us (especially if you have a lil reservation about the City. It's a good place to start.

If you check out the DGN Calendar(link at the top of the board also) theres several different club nights and what not on different days.

Not everyone goes to City Club , but a lot of us do (including me) theres a pretty good map of how to get there on the nightlife post about it. Luna is pretty cool too. The nightlife section is a good place to ask about (and check for) some other ideas.

If you live close enough or are ever in town you  may want to check out DGN Night on saturdays. We use it to post whos going, who went, etc.  if your so inclined.

whoops i just noticed your post in the nightlife section. Myself im worthless as a carpool guy as my health isnt that great and i get a ride from a buddy who is willing to take off at a moments notice if i start feeling shitty.

Although if you still are having no luck with directions for next week ill try to help. I live way out on the west side though and we (cooks that we are) take michigian avenue all the way down. Hopefully one of the guys on the board that lives closer to where your at can help you out if ya still need help.

We are a pretty laid back & helpful bunch.

and live at 9 and mound(warren) i currently

live at 10 and gratiot and kinda 13 and gratiot

it's about 13 minutes away(i used to time myself

getting home from work) but i dont know exactally

i'm going to mcc for graphic design right now and

am currently laid off- know of any places i could

get a job in that field with out having any degrees?

Holy crap- you're right by me Squee! I used to work at J's Silkscreens near 10 & Gratiot and I live near 13 & Gratiot- 13 & Kelly to be more precise. If you have any silkscreening experience I'd say to throw an app in at J's- from what I've heard they need help. Hell, they may even train you from the ground up. Good peoples, but it is stressful meeting deadlines and such. I'd be happy to give 'em a call if you'd like and get more info.

my apartment is on mckinnon st (right by dennys, like a block away from macomb mall, or masonic and kelly) but i've been staying with friends at 10 and gratiot. i haven't done any silk screening before, but i learn quickly and i'll give anything a chance. i mean as of right now a friend and i have a job interview wednesday at comerica park making f-in doughnuts behind homeplate... believe me whatever i can do. not having a job is just really bothering me. i'll definitly look into the job.

Wow I go right by there everyday- from my house on Kelly, I sneak up McKinnon and jump on 94 west (I work at 8 1/2 and Harper now). Too crazy! Good luck!!

Yeah Luna is 21+.

I started out life as a GD (have an associates degree in GD) then was going to be an illistrator... then and then and then... short stint at U of M... ended up doing computers. Didnt plan it that way just sort of what the fates dealt me.

Bah i somehow clicked the wrong post, i meant to delete that "duplicate" post, but deleted the real one instead. AND for some reason the board "recycle bin" wasnt working right for a minute there so the post isnt recoverable , at least not without a board-wide restore from backup. (fixed now but to late)
