Fierce Critter Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Repeat - she cut off waaaaaaay more length than I wanted, like 2+ inches too much - but I like the style and look forward to seeing it grow back out to the length I prefer.
Fierce Critter Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 There's a pic there. If you have a box with a red x, right click and click "show picture". It didn't show for me at first either, but it does now.
Msterbeau Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 It's not punk rock, but it's very cute on you. :-)
Fierce Critter Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 It's not punk rock, but it's very cute on you. :-) Thanks! Heh. If I wanted to go punk, I'd just towel-rat it into a sort of Robert Smith ratsnest. It's a layered shag, and those whip up beautifully into Jiffy-pop hair. :D Nah, punk is out for a while, I fear. Unless I can use a straightening iron maybe. Either that or just put my hairfalls in.
Guest Megalicious Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Aw it's super cute C!!!! It's really opened up your face =) Look at that smile!! YAY
Destroit Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Even cut "too short" it's still got alot of sass. I don't get how you think it's too short. Wanna see "too short"? Go to my myspace: www.myspace.com/xpenthesileax Lookit my old pictures with my beautiful black flowing hair and sassy bangs, and then look at me now. I'm a little boy now lol. I still don't know what the fuck I was thinking shearing it BALD. But enuf about me, your hair is cute.
Fierce Critter Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 Thanks, you two. It's too short in that I don't want short hair - period. My hair was a few inches below shoulder before she cut it. I would have preferred the length be kept as much as possible in the back. I had showed her several examples of shag cuts in a magazine. Unfortunately, the one she worked from was the shortest cut, and while she's a great stylist, she's apparently got either a short attention span or forgets quickly, because I said to keep the length and had referred her specifically to one of the longer-length examples for how I wanted it kept long. Still, I'm not upset because the style is just that - a style. My hair wasn't looking good at all one-length and lifeless. This put some shape into it, and as Meg points out, opens up my face. Short or not, I love it, and know I'll love it even more as it grows and is maintained.
Rayne Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 It's too short in that I don't want short hair - period. Me too. Ack ... I'm still pouting about mine. 6 inches ... GONE ... and now all this special shampoo and conditioning stuff to just keep the hair I still have. *sigh* A few days ago I was crying over about 6 inches I chopped off my oldest daughter's hair (8 years old and protests immensely about brushing her hair - so I chopped it off)... now my own (it was over-processed and dead ... more of it is, but I wouldn't let it go THAT short). That still leaves mine just below the shoulders, where her's is just above, but neither one of us look good with shorter hair. :( Yours looks really cute on you though FC! My youngest daughhter looks really cute with short hair too.
DeadBurgerKing (10) Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I agree! It really looks good on you!!

My youngest daughhter looks really cute with short hair too. Thank you - and I feel your pain. Hopefully yours grows faster than mine. Screwed-up metabolism keeps mine growing at a crawl, even on thyroid meds. I will say this, though, I don't need as much product as I did before I had it chopped as far as keeping it looking healthy. All the dead & destroyed permed part is gone for the most part, so it's in good shape. But to keep a style like that in shape, I do have to put a lot of gunky waxy-type stuff on it, which I'm not real happy about. Still, it's better than it was, by far. Brenda Starrr Posted Today, 08:58 AM I love it! But you look great in everything. Can I shrink you and keep you in my purse for those times when I'm feeling down about myself? Thanks so much. And thanks everyone else for your nice comments. Been having some down days lately and this is all bringing me up a bit.
saechalyn Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 It looks cute! But I feel you- I hate it when my hair is shorter than I'd like, since mine grows painfully slow as well. I do have some luck with generic cvs brand "hair and nail formula" vitamins though.
