sass_in_the_pants Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 When I was in Italy, I saw bunches of men wearing skinny capri pants. My one friend, an American man who should know better, mind you, was like 'Maybe I should pick up some of those skinny capri pants. You know how Europeans are always a year ahead in fashion.' He was SO certain the men's skinny capri pants were coming to the states. Me? I was certain that given a choice between wearing pants made of fire ants, or skinny capri pants, American men would overwhelmingly choose the fire ants. So far, I STILL haven't seen a single man in the U.S. in skinny capri pants. The day I do, I'm moving to Canada.
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 No Fucking Way. Having pants that are the correct length is more important than the correct waist. A man's pants should reach the top of his foot and crumple just a bit. That way when he sits and crosses his legs.. his pants don't hitch up to his knee. Have those men no self respect?
Fierce Critter Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 I hate wearing jeans - period. Come the first warm day of spring/summer, I take off the jeans and put on shorts and - no matter how cold it gets again - I do not switch back until late fall. I'm middle-heavy. I have that fat-person's blindness that convinces me that tapered, stretch jeans look better on me than any other style of jeans. But I know different - I know that makes me look like a spinning top, so I've been trying to resist the urge to get back into that style. I would prefer a straight-leg jean. But that would mean really big legs at the bottom. And I don't care how they're "supposed" to make you look. I think they make fat chicks look like buildings walking around. I really hate pants. I'm building quite a wardrobe of tights & cute skirts & long tops to wear in the winter. I like that look on me better.
