Grand Rapids Goth Stuff?

My wife and I are going to find ourselves in Grand Rapids for a couple of days soon.

Does anyone know anything about clubs, etc, in the area?

Unfortunately you not going to find much other then a "fetish night" on Tuesdays at ten bells on alpine. GR is pretty dead for the alternative scene so most of us take the long trip to Detroit or A2 for a good time. Good luck and if you find anything please let the rest of us know.

I am sure that Nienna totally qualifies as "good Goth stuff" in Grand Rapids, but doing that sort of "Goth stuff" could prove to be difficult to explain to my wife. Severina is the completely the non-jealous type, but I think that she might still take a rather dim view of me sampling that sort of Goth entertainment.

Then there is also the issue that the lovely young Nienna probably wants nothing whatsoever to do with a crusty old GothGuy who is old enough... well, uh, really old.

By the way, I totally remember you from when I used to post here before.

As far as the club scene goes for GR its mostly infested with booty clubs with a few random coffee shops thrown in like sprinkles. If you are lucky you might find something of interest. I've heard mixed reviews about the Ten Bells thing.

I go to school in GR, and to be honest there is really nothing to do. I do have a coffee shop that I go to when I'm not in class, and that's Morningstar 75.

It's a cool place, if you can handle the bums that come in and out at random times.

I'm glad I'm not single and living in GR. I'm old, and have kids, so not going to clubs isn't such a bad thing. Now that I think of it, I haven't lived near a good goth club since 1992! I've always had to drive for an hour or more!
