I'm not sure if there's a way to embed things on this forum (I've worked with some phpbb hacks to do this, but I'm not familiar with IP Board, the code, or what if any mods exist for it). At any rate, check out my latest LJ entry associated with this thread. kremisos.livejournal.com

So true... People just close their eyes to this. It shouldn't take dead children to wake people up though. A human life is a human life. In my experience Pro-lifers are all for saving unborn fetuses, but largely ignore living persons dying. Why is that? Motivate them to care about ALL life, and you've got some power to stop this insanity.

As for imbedding video.. Some places make it easy. Like SG. I don't know what the technical considerations are. Ask Troy.

ahh true, pro lifers... generally MOST (not all) are too stupid to span their attention to actual living people instead of just the unborn fetus.

This country needs a major darwinism overhaul I do believe...

Nice video. Good job.

I guess thats why we pick sponsor children in other countries.....it is not their fault they have to haul water, work in a sweat factory......ect...ect......Its OUR fault for exploiting them for our own gain.

I tried buying American for awhile, it is impossible with a family to take care of. I have to get the best buy.....to save money.....also sometimes there is just no other choice. Try looking at where everything you buy is made......it is not that easy.

If everyone lived in small tribes the way its suppose to be and died of disease by age say 40 we would not be overpopulated..........ect.....ect......

But then I would not be here. And I like my warm showers......shampoo......

So I just try to give back. Because all these innocent little kids with those big brown eyes......god knows its not their fault. They did nothing to deserve it. So being thankful for what I have and trying to share and conserve is all I can do at the moment.

War existed before Bush.

War existed before Republicans.

War existed before the USA

War existed before "Pro-Lifers"

Poverty existed before Bush.

Poverty existed before Republicans

Poverty existed before the USA

Poverty existed before "Pro-Lifers"

70,000 civilians dead. How many were killed by Iraqi's? How many died from Car bombs and suicide bombers? What about the 300,000 in mass graves all over Iraq from Saddam's "rule"? How many have died in Dafur? How do we stop that without another pointless war?

War is pointless. It's never solved anything... except Slavery, the Nazi's, Facism, Imperial Japan slaughtering the Chinese....

Propoganda is Fun. It helps people ignore facts and history that might interfere with thier world view.

BTW.. kids have to haul water because the live in the DESERT or int he case of polunesea and Indo-China... Over-population polluting the ground water.

Sounds like a great excuse to continue fighting and let our own people starve while billions of our hard earned tax dollars fund the deaths of our soldiers and many more civilians, Iraqis, and Iranians. I'm glad historical facts somehow justify everything we do. Thanks for completely changing my mind on this topic. =P

BTW, while we're on this jackass logic, WTF does Bush or Republicans have to do with anything? We (well the collective, I certainly wouldn't vote for that idiot) voted for them. This is our country. If we allow this war to continue, it is also our responsibility. Despite my feeling that Bush is a puppet with a backbone, he has nothing to do with anything. Sure he has the ability to change things, but he's a coward. Corporate America sets the rules, and they will continue to as long as a 5 minute television commercial can win our votes and the literacy rate of America is worthless because nobody reads.

Yup. Aren't we supposed to learn from history?

Yes, we are. History has many lesson's. One of them is sometimes, doing nothing at all is worse than doing something distasteful.

I'm not happy with the way things are going either. I wont lay all the blame on Bush, the Republicans and the USA. I will thier/our fare share... but not all of it.

The people in the Middle are the forgetten ones. Pro-Lifers.. Pro-Choice... good example. What about those of us inbetween? When do we get a say? What about balance. I'm Pro-Choice... I just happen to think Life is one of the choices... In many cases adoption would be a great choice, but not if you listen to the hard core Pro-Choice people.

Gaf, I can agree with you to a point. True, the blame cant all be pointed on Bush. And like other's said, we do need to learn from history, Bush is just pushing the whole war and is actually blatantly showing his intentions to keep in power through violence and death however, the blame must go to everyone else who hasn't done a damn thing to stop him. Sitting around and crying about it obviously isn't getting anything done, hell, he don't even listen because he KNOWS the complainers aren't going to do anything about it. But there is a balance don't worry about that. It cannot stay like this for ever, things have a habit of flipping back and forth. For the pro lifer and pro choicers, it's good to have an opinion of the matter, but the extreme ones as you mentioned, go too far with their opinion and deny any other alternative idea, even if it is a good one. It's those loud mouths that burry our voices. But because of those loudmouths unwilling to give in and compromise with one another is a big reason why they're not getting anything accomplished.

What scares me the most, is the presidential candidates... the democratic side doesn't have all that great of candidates... but the replublican side is a big joke.. and I know they're not that stupid... wich leads me to belive there's a reason for this... they don't really plan on trying to get any of them in office... they just might try to cause another last minute crisis and follow the Presidential order 51, Homeland Security. Here's the link, and it's a long one with 6 pages to read through:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/20...0070509-12.html

Notice that it is VERY VAGUE about what could be the reason for the president to take over the government. It could be another terrorist attack, a pandemic, like a bird flu, or another huricane, like Katrina. Also - all those army bases that were closed? They are up and ready to go - all they need are people to fill them. Kinda like Auschwitz in WWII

I'm not saying they WILL try to pull this maneuver, but it's not going to surprise me if they try. I just hope my notions in this are wrong... only time will tell.

What scares me the most is you've only brought up democratic and republican candidates, yet you still have the right to vote.

alot of those stupid, short attention spanned pro lifers feed, clothe, house, council, and sometimes employ actual living people. Some of them have been doing it for many years.

Eh, I kinda decided to not share some personal info that was initially in this post.

I think pro-choice and pro-life principles are ridiculous. This is a personal thing, and has nothing to do with anybody but the individual. One of the number one causes of problems in this world, is when people can't mind their own business.....

I choose not to have an opinion on this, because until it effects me directly (and it has caused me problems in the past), it's not my business. What do I care what someone else does with their body? The sad thing is law should protect us from harm. Anything that governs what someone does to their own body is an injustice. i.e. Law should only govern the space between my fist and your face. An unborn child is still a part of it's mother's body. While, I may not agree with the destruction of children in any way, it's really none of my business until that child is born.

There are instances where abortion is necessary, and there are instances where ignorance prevails upon the choices of a male and female human. If there were laws to convict people of ignorance, we would surely have no prison space, economy, etc.

The bottom line is we all make dumb choices, and should be willing to forgive these choices as we hope for forgiveness from others.
