I own both Wayne's World 1 and 2. Both on VHS, and both on DVD. I've watched them multiple times, probably more then I can count, and I will probably watch them again in the future. I just find them hilarious and timeless.

My friend has MST3K dvd's..............

Most of the movies in here shouldn't even be in this thread because they rule too much. Howard the Duck? Yeah, that sucks and you should feel guilty for liking it. But Barbarella? Dark City? Napoleon Dynamite? Grind House? Come on now. These are all classics. Well, maybe not Dark City, but even that was sweet despite its obvious flaws.

I think even listing "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" would be inappropriate to list here. Goofy? Yes, but also totally brilliant. I can admit with no shame that I think "Freddy Got Fingered" is one of the funniest movies of all time. Dumb? Terrible? One a lot of Razzie awards? Considered by some to be the worst movie ever? You bet! But brilliant in its terribleness.

Now, if you liked any of the Highlander sequels... start feel guilty! Same with the pop diva movies like Glitter with Mariah Carey, or Crossroads with Britney Spears. You should feel guilty for liking those. But trust me, Barbarella and Grind House are sweet movies.

Obnoxiously bad movies aren't necessarily bad movies. Or at least they aren't shameful. At least they did something notable. It is these embarrassing marketing vehicles and needless sequels that are, well... embarrassing. Even the likes of Ed Wood movies are charming in their cheesiness and admirable for their spirit, and have respectable cult followings. But Spice World? Rocky V? The 1998 Godzilla? Rambo 3? For shame.

At least, that's my opinion. =)

Oh, and "Water World" is a crap movie I enjoyed. It really does suck, too. But it is the sort of stupid movie that can lull me into droll amusement. I might have even found Highlander 2 amusing if it didn't frustrate me so much. I always wanted those sequels to be cool, and they always sucked so consistently.

On the subject of movies that flat out suck, this recent Viking movie, "Pathfinder" blew. Also a movie I wanted to enjoy, but the bad dialog, terrible stock footage and shitty editing simply made it too frustrating for me to even enjoy the live action heavy metal album covers battling on screen.

I agree with you there, Daniel. Movies that are "bad" on purpose (i.e. Grindhouse, Napoleon Dynamite) don't count here.

We're talking movies that most people would go "You -liked- that??"

I still say Demolition Man is the prime example of this. Judge Dredd also a good one. Sylvester Stallone is one big cheese ball.

Another one! Last Action Hero. Cheesy, horrible, but I love it anyway.

I can't remember Demolition Man...

Essentially Sly Stallone is a cop along the vein of Mel Gibson in the Lethal Weapon movies or Bruce Willis in the Die Hard flicks.

He gets cryogenically frozen as punishment for blowing up a giant warehouse while pursuing Wesley Snipe's character, who's essentially like a black Joker (in my opinion)

He wakes up in the future where the city of San Angeles (I think that's what they called it) and it's completely sanitized, and his nemesis has escaped from jail.

He finds the guy, beats the crap out him in the future, and proves that 20th century barbarism has it's high points.

As strange as it sounds, I think Last Action Hero was one of the more intelligent Schwarzenegger flicks.

He actually tackled some interesting material about the nature of reality, and the relationship between audience and actor/character. Granted, this was all done back at the beginning of the 20th century on stage, but Hollywood has tended to shy away from it, not having any easy ways of really making the audience question their role in filmgoing.

I won't say the film was an entirely successful attempt, but it tried, and in an action film, no less. I have to give it, and the Governator, credit for that.

Plus, it features Ian McKellan as Death. How can you beat that?

Ahh, that's right. He kept getting fines for swearing. :D

I just thought of two more movies that I really liked. They are Zoolander & Blades Of Glory. I love those movies. Whenever Zoolander is on I'm drawn to it. It's so stupid it's funny. The line "I think I getting the Black Lung" when he's been down in the mine for one day is soooo funny. When Blades Of Glory comes out on DVD I'm buying it. That one had me laughing my ass off. I've seen it three times already & it just keeps getting funnier. I love the costume that Jon Heder's character(sorry for the bad spelling) where he's in that peacock outfit is just too funny. LMAO :peanutbutterjellytime::laugh:

Well, I have to go for now. I'm on my father in law's 'puter & he has dial up which I hate with a passion. I'll try to get on here later with my hubby's wireless laptop. C'ya.
