I used to go to CC all the time but I hadn't been there in almost 12 years. Took my daughter there for her first time, but that was before i joined this site. I will be going there as often as possible, and I hope to get to meet some of you in the process.... i guess a bunch of us from the Ren- Fest go in garb, maybe I will have to join them this year.

This post is from last week... but I'm going to drag my corpse down there again this weekend.

I know at least 2-3 renfen folk that frequent CC. I think there is a fair amount of crossover with the "type" of person that does both things.

Similar to the crossover between gothy types and sci fi fans. Something to do with comradeship between subcultural minded folk.

Just as an aside this type of "clubbing" post is typcially outside the scope of this section of the board (should be in Nightlife/Events generally). But, its tollerable here, as its specificly a "Detroitgothic.net event".

You should have been opted out already if that box is unchecked.

A few people that are opted out (i looked through the logs) got the email anyway, due to a setting issue which i thought was automatic but isn't. Only really even went to probably 5 "real" users that were opted out, but its fixed now. Not to say it will stay fixed, since every time there's a software update 9 million settings need to be re-checked.

The admin mail is a judgment call in general, mine. Its VERY fair use to remind people about THE DGN gathering maybe once a month MAX. Your never-ending complaining about CC not withstanding. A once every 2 to 8 months (on average) reminder about DGN Night is going to fall under what i consider very fair use of admin mail about the key DGN event.
