I never got into the Harry Potter books or the Lord of the Ring books, I really don't get the hype on it... The movies were good up until this last one, it sucked. I would rather watch a movie the read a book.... But even as a movie I didn't care for LotR it was too long, and some things didn't make sense because of the Book to Movie translation

I also never got into "The Lord of The Rings" books but I love the movies. I have the extended versions of the second & third movies but when I can afford it, I plan on getting the extended version of the first one.

I haven't read it yet, but I made the mistake of watching Season 6 of buffy, and now when ever I get close to my books, I start absorbing magical knowledge, and the world starts to look like a big Chocolate chip cookie. That happen to anyone else?

Yeah, I got it Sunday night, finished it Tuesday night. Now I need something else to read in the same vein.

So is this really the end? I mean will J.K. Write anymore in the same world just not with Harry and the gang? What a rich, and awesome world. I can't believe it's over. Anybody know of any good HP fan fic sites? Yeah, I may be a little obsessed.

After having my copy for 13 days, I just finished it this afternoon while driving in Colorado. I say OMG!!! What a GREAT ending to a GREAT series. Major kudos to J.K. Rowlings. That is THE fastest book of any kind that I've read in a looooong time. Now I gonna start reading them again to get the other messages that I missed the first time I read them. I also can't wait to see the fifth Harry Potter movie a second time. This time I'll bring my hubby with me. :peanutbutterjellytime::thumbsup::secret::animier:

It was very good. Though(I hope I'm not giving away too much here) I though the epilogue was cheesy as hell.

I actually liked the epilogue. I thought it was a nice finish. Quiet and cozy.

I read a synopsis of the ending online because I don't care to read the books.

Cool. :)

I both liked and disliked the ending. I don't want to give too much away though....

I have to say I am a bit surprised that anyone who has actually read these books and not just seen the movies would say they are overrated. Very few authors can make you identify with so many characters in the way that Rowling has in these. Just my opinion.....

Ditto. Total copout IMO.

I loved it!! Although the part with Snape made me really sad T_T I'm still moping around the house. I wonder if she will ever make a book just on him...
