I know there was talk about doing something like this a few years ago, but I don't think it ever panned out. It would be nice to see it happen. But, there seem to be more willing models than photographers.

My bf went to school at spec so he could video tape us idk about taking a pic

If this is or isn't going to happen by all means post here or in events. The day of the swarm will be enclosed in my all new digital camera not yet to say the least this will be the kick I need to get it.

Where would this take place? Does anyone have ideas? Are we going for themes?

I wouldn't mind getting in on a photo shoot, but I think the camera would.

This is never going to happen unless someone takes initiative. So.... When I get back I'll invite everyone over and do it in the home studio. You guys provide your selves plus props.

You seem to be the only person on the board who is a skilled photographer. It's every DGNers' dream to be photographed by you.

It will likely be a Saturday afternoon/evening. We can then all go down to City Club to cap the evening.

Tentatively December 6th? Or maybe the 20th, but I'm not sure it's a good idea to do it so close to the holiday.

No problem. Picking you up for a shoot will be ok.

We have a few people to take the pics. I am one of the photographers who tried with Marc to set up a shoot. Never could set a date tho. I still am hoping.

We can do themes. I have a nice wooded area to use in Canton.

My skills are from airshows, I'm breaking into the model phase of photography. I've been doing them for 30+ yrs.

Have an area to use.

I voted no.

Having said that, here are some suggestions for locations:

Island lake Park (across the freeway from Kensington)

The old Detroit train station

Belle Isle

Top level of any parking garage in R.O.

...actually, the best spot would be Dieppe Park in Windsor; you'd have the Detroit skyline in the background.

The old Detroit train station is scary and dangerous. Besides, you have to climb over nasty barbed wire to try to get access. However, the other places sound like good options.

If I have the money and gas when it happens, I'll get all decked-out and do this. Mostly depends on if I can get hired in somewhere.

*giggles* the 20th is my birthday! lol that would be cool as hell. and w/ it THAT close to the holiday, you could also make it an actual party, too. Like after everyone is done, they can all mix and mingle and ppl can bring food. it could be a Welcome Home/ Photoshoot/ Christmas party lol :)
