It's unfortunat that I could not view the comic.

I would like to note however that to many like to pit D&D agentst V:TM.

It's just plane unfair.

Ravenloft vs Vampire, thats fair.

D&D vs World of Darkness, Thats fair.

Vampire flag ship as it may be is only a tiny part of a much vaster system.

oh yea Hello and welcome to the board.

Here's a direct link to the comic itself. If it's too small to read, if you mouse the picture, your mouse should turn into a magnifying glass and you can enlarge it.

Even WoD vs D&D isnt particularly "fair" as they are so different in their play mechanics. They both fall under the "PnP RPG" heading but thats about it. Sort of like how apples and oranges both fall under the heading of "fruit". (dont kid yourself though, vampire is a massive collosal chunk of WoD, the other "segments" are far less fleshed out)

I tried (back in the day) unsucsessfully to switch from D&D to vampire (aka WoD). I always thought of myself as being a "RPG purist" but when it comes down too it, and im sitting there with almost ZERO "powergaming" options, and being forced to "only roleplay". i start crying and want my pretty rule books and pages and pages of rules and items and shiney happy skills and items and equipment and other pretties.....

So i went back slumped-shouldered to D&D and just read the vampire books for interests sake. :unhappy: I tried the vampre card game (once when it first came out known as "Jyhad" and then again 3-4 years ago) but hordes of MTG guys talked me out of it both times eventually. heh

I think you would like WoD better if you found the correct story teller i.e. an ex hard core Dungeon Master turned Story Teller. It's a shame I don't have time any more. :unhappy:
