Has anyone besides me read these series. Anita Blake is a Vampire Executioner (legal) and Merry Gentry is a Fey Princess.

She is an awesome author and it's been a pleasure reading them. Especially since the vampire executioner is dating the Head Vampire of St. Louis. Kinda Ironic.

What are your thoughts on this series?

I know I'm looking forward to the new book that's about to come out, as I've read all the other books a few times.

I like the political nature of the Merry books, even if some people think they're a little slow at times. Anita right now has so much going on in her life that not too much actually happens in the books. But both books are good in that the female leads are very capable in their own ways and can stand up to whatever they deal with. They're fun reads, and both characters have personalities making their first-person POV interesting and entertaining.
