How Do I Get Curls?

I have naturally wavy hair.

Usually, when I let my hair air-dry, it will have a slight wave to it, but mostly stay straight.

But often, the day AFTER I wash my hair, if it was... tousled the previous night by a bed partner, it ends up this awesome loose mess of curls and looks honestly gorgeous.

But I can't figure out how to achieve this look on purpose...

Any tips?

Use hot rollers or a curling iron and mess that shit up. Then, spray it.

That would be the most fun way of going about it!!

Tell you what. I really wouldn't mind that.

Unfortunately, it seems that there is no one right now interested in being my steady partner.

If you're a "no curling irons in the house" kind of girl like me...

Shower before bed instead of in the morning, leave conditioner in it, sleep on it, tousle in the morning.

Works like a charm for me.

Hmm... leave conditioner in... I'll have to try that.

Many companies market sprays that are designed to put curl in your hair.

Frankly, I'm doubtful that curls can be "put in" to hair that's not naturally curly or permed.

But they're there if you want to look for them.

what i do is I buy curling moose and after i get out of the shower while my hair is still soaking wet i brush it out and then i lean forward and scrunch the moose in my hair. then i take a towel and scrunch my hair more until all the white is gone and then i let it dry. I hate curlers myself they give me a headache. A curling iron takes a while but it looks good after.
